We tripped up

Day in, day out All I want is you to shout To Shout right out my name To feel no shame, this wasn’t a game To love me like once, no refrain But nothing ever comes No butterfly wings To bring me sweet repose. I shouldn’t really yearn It isn’t your turn You care?.. well who really knows For me we are here Because you weren’t really near Weren’t near enough to soothe To soothe my joy & sorrow You pledged on tomorrow Such foolish neglectful prose Yes I acted a fool My personality went drool I didn’t recognise me I could not be left In a dank redress I loved you, but did you love me Yes a poet I’ve become It comes from the thumb Expression is my only key So ye, I say hi I’ve no idea why Your depth seems not there did I not see You once ran to me Your heart filled with such glee Those flowers close to your chest Tightly we held Such love we upheld Do bring back my love to me........

Dear Angela, Your poem is filled with that has been lost is painful especially when your relationship started in bliss...."Is it better to have loved and lost, or to never have loved at all"? Happy NewYear Paulette
