Turkey Talk and Grievances

The history of our ancestors, wild turkeys, explains a sad old Tom, is that it’s filled with far more bad than good memories. First, their numbers were never killed as often or as many as are today. Then, too, and this is irrefutable, they were born and died in the wild, as nature meant not on crowded farms where conditions are so unhealthy they stifle and prevent turkey activists writing up petitions that will regulate and hopefully reform the shameful squalor we’re made to live in. Then, too, our ancestors were healthier because of a natural diet rich in berries – blue, rasp and cran – favored by turkeys and whose ingredients were far superior and rich in fiber, vitamins, antioxidants, free of steroids, pesticides, and growth hormones, as well as deadly contaminants which they feed us daily and to eat we loath. And look at the effects they’ve had on us! We’ve been blown up to a size so grotesque our ancestors would shudder with disgust. With bigger thighs and more buxom breasts turkey hens feel they’re competing with Mae West! And when danger loomed, our ancestors could fly and escape to safer ground, a luxury denied our lead-weight bodies now, sadly – and a fatal stroke today even with a try.
