Oh how they danced
When they were young
The war was over
Life was all fun

Working hard
And playing harder
She was a beauty
He a charmer

They fell in love
And had two kids
Did the same things
That everyone did

The years flew by
Weren't many chances
To dress up fancy
And go to dances

But late at night
With the kids in bed
They'd turn off the TV
And dance instead

I remember years later
Oh the vision I have
Of the two young lovers
My Mum and Dad

I know they're dancing
Together somewhere
I can hear them laughing
Sometimes I swear
