The Truth

Oh the best of friends we were No one closer there could be Until one day a spark Lit up inside of me It revealed to me the truth Of what you had to hide Thought I could trust you What was I thinking a lie? Mother always told me To be aware of the deceiver And not to be caught dead As the dumbfounded believer You thought you had me fooled Think again because your wrong Your schemes and dirty lies Are no more so, so long
