I reminisce. I miss appreciating water as a precious commodity as I drew it from wells and springs many years ago, not wasting it, relishing tasting it, not taking it for granted as I am now prone to do. I pause to thank God for water. I reminisce. I miss the sweet newness of my salvation, the gratitude I felt and freely expressed. The joy of salvation should never grow dim. I should thank Him daily. Lord, “Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me by Your generous Spirit.”* I reminisce. I miss the little four-room brick siding house, the earliest in my memory, that housed my family of six. It’s gone, but I still drive by the vacant lot and see it with my mind’s eye. I reminisce. I miss being young, strong, and energetic. Now, when I tire easily and my joints hurt, I thank God for my limited energy. He’s still motivating me, and I am happy just—to BE. I am grateful for memories. When I reminisce, I miss . . . . *Psalm 51:12, from the New King James Version of the Bible April 7, 2021 Contest: I Reminisce, I Miss Placed 2nd Sponsor: James Edward Lee Sr. entered in Brian Strand's All Yours (Apr 11) Contest placed 1st

We spend a lifetime creating memories and relive them often in our minds, and some only seem like yesterday but sadly many years have passed by. Tom
