And USA speaks here also, We all can have our say. Different ways of saying it, Different style and sways, Not always neat and tidy, Not always socially accepted ways. With Respect and peaceful I enjoy reading you But show contempt Or correct the corrected Then I’m off here that is true

that was funny: Correct the corrected. I remember one time being criticized for saying "as the baby lay in his crib" because the person believed I should say laid. But in reality, the past tense of LIE in bed is Lay in bed, and most Americans do not even use LIE . They just always say Lay. It's amusing to see how people use English here but not wise to publicly correct people unless it's a simple typo type of mistake!

Before I discovered Soup, I was a closet poet. No one had ever seen my poems. They stayed locked away once written. The very first poem I reluctantly submitted to Soup had two wonderful people comment so nicely, it gave me confidence to submit some more. The encouraging words have made me confident and I love it. Your poem is perfect Angela. This is a place of respect and comradery. We can all have our preference of style but no room for critics.

All the majority of us on here want is to write read and leave positive comments, there is no place for venom on here. I know of many who have left because of negativity. Well said Angela. Tom

You know that what you said rings true with either political AND OR religious topics. I've tended to be the "open mouth insert foot" person way more often than I wish to be. I am getting better at not being that person though. I feel as though your last line is a cliff hanger, though. Overall, good message.
