Scotland a calling
I’m off to see my lovely
My lovely I’m off to see
Travelling up to the Bonny land
Train journey calling me
Through glen and glade the journey dips
Wild stags and buzzards go
Past untouched beach, no man may reach
Whilst otters dive and dance to and fro
Wild heather and pine
I’m feeling just fine
Soon be there with my darling Amy
For good food, laughter and love
And a tipple or two, some dancing...well ye maybe
Wee cottage so grand
Between two beach’s of sand
We walk and let cobwebs blow forth
Reading and resting, each other digesting
Marshmallows a toasting at the hearth
Oh highlands I love, & to be with my dove
My heart flutters as I arrive
All stresses have gone, I feel like a swan
It’s where I do thrive and thrive.
