Our Four Legged Forest Friend
Running through the forest
Pine cones everywhere
Darting north and darting south
Sniffing all the air
Jumping on the toadstools
Mud lumps flying past
Biting all the tree stumps
I’m free, I’m free at last
Red fur ears flapping briskly
Bounding paws there I go
Amy in the background
Oh dear where will he go
Whistle at the ready
Let’s call him quick he’s gone
Tooot tooot come back we miss you
Wee Murdo, the only one
Wet ears, and muddy paws
Let’s clamber in the car
Soon home to get a shower
It really isn’t far
All washed, clean and cosy
My fluffy bed awaits
Eyes I can’t keep open
Sweet dreams, tomorrow anticipates
