On Summer Breath

The summer touched my weary, care-soaked skin, My body sighed with gratitude and I let go, and accidentally breathed you in - as heady as the honeysuckle sky.
21 April 19 For Rithimus Divisa Contest hosted by Gregory R Barden Rithimus divisa describes a rhyming stanza taken from a longer poem which forms a poem in its own right. This was taken from a sonnet called “Touched”.

so gorgeous, Nina. I wish I had the time to look through all my free verse to find the perfect entry for this contest. I like what you submitted better than what I gave him. I LOVE this

Ah this was for the rhyming one... I don’t have a huge amount of free verse but I shall have a look through and if a four-liner is lurking, I shall enter it! Thank you Andrea :-)
