On Our Way Tomorrow

On Our Way Tomorrow

Tomorrow we are on our way
We will travel down the highway
We’re off to see the great south west
Where everywhere is dressed in green

I love it in the country
With its many lovely birds
Maybe they just sing for me
When I hear them I am stirred

I guess it has it all
This country where I live
It’s all so beautiful
Such joy to me it gives

Oh, how I love Australia
With all its snakes, and kangaroos
There’s nothing could be lovelier
How I do love our skies so blue

We are off for five sweet days
To sit by the bubbling brook
As we watch the rabbits play
Or maybe just read a book

There’s nothing like a holiday
It is the way to bring on peace
When the holiday is over
I feel that all of me is charged

Mixed freestyle, and rhyme

"Oh, how I love Australia With all its snakes, and kangaroos There’s nothing could be lovelier How I do love our skies so blue" - if I was not a horrible traveler, angry at all the sitting, this poem would convince me to come over and see for myself, my friend!
