Nine--Then Death

Am I superstitious? No, I say, but I read a true story today about famed classical musicians* whose demise birthed a superstition. Each composed nine symphonies—JUST nine! Therefore, some composers are inclined to stop with the eighth composition. Superstitions can quell ambitions and foil the most creative missions. *I found these listed: Beethoven, Bruckner, Dvorak, and Mahler. used howmanysyllables May 12, 2021 entered in the Time for Nine Contest NA Sponsored by Michelle Faulkner

Hello Janice ... this is news to me and it's very interesting. My Mother had many superstitions and as kids we would laugh about them - thanks Janice - Lindsay

Thanks so much, Lindsay. My paternal grandmother used to have an explanation for every odd occurrence: "There's some kind of HAINT causing that!" LOL! Janice
