Poet's Notes

An evening with a special someone whom I doubt I'll ever be with, but thankful we shared brief moments of romance.

She bends an ear on my shoulder and
my world crouches to shut-eye.
Music is felt through the feet and
aromatic melodies brush off her hair.
Hundreds are mesmerized by a performance.
We watch her and our breaths rest at half a beat.
Warmth exudes the final note of the night
like a breath of a whisper, oh how it rushes silence,
like a tone leading its tonic, home is came
like a thunderous applause and we stood up
at the very, same time, thankful and curiously in love.
