This sonnet is based on my BIO part 04 03 Loving Her Was Another. The bio will give a lot of insight and understanding of the meaning of the poem and words therein. I do encourage you to read the Bio as well. The three bio's 04 01, 04 02 and 04 03 all relate to this sonnet and the full story behind the sonnet.

This sonnet is a re-post. It was first posted on 5th November, 2015, during the first week after I joined PS.

SONNET – LOVING HER WAS ANOTHER

Ill at ease, uneasiness churned my mind,
hesitant suspense to seek awareness
to ease the qualm, face the moment to find
what possessed the change in virgin fondness.
A trembling moment of truth, to smother
the passion of love, piercing through the heart.
Gone was she; loving her was another,
at that urgency my world fell apart.
A heavy stone fell on my heart, to weigh
down the reverie to depths of distress,
for fervid lust the virgin love betray,
to lonesome dimness, loneliness regress.

The flame of love, smoldering passion ashed,
head down bowed I reversed away, abashed.
