Looking at Love Through the Eyes of the Moon
Looking at love through the eyes of the Moon,
Smiled upon by Fortune from above
The reach of the sky, past Mars and Neptune
Azure heavenly hands cast dice of love.
Weak and lame, I wandered lonesome about
Even the kindest stars scowled at me
For dark ewer I was never without:
But only Chance was the star to not flee.
Sun lay hidden behind grey cloud that day,
Rain danced in step to Zeus’s mighty roars
I was finally sent mercy my way
Made into a man, entirely yours.
I once lived a life of shame and regret, --
Now we’re together ‘til the final sunset.
