Liverpool Philharmonic
They’re tuning up, I take my seat
A crowded place it is
Tuning up I scan the great
Instruments we will meet
The sway of the violins
The boom of the trumpets
The twinkle of the triangle
The grace of the harp
The bells sometimes sharp
I’m but lost in the joy of it all
Music gliding and rising
My body so moved
The wonderment so surprising
The passion of the conductor
Directing all the play
I really am lost in awe
Wonderful wonderstruck
And enchanted
I yearn for more and more
