A man, lost in his thoughts,
walked along the edge of a quiet
and less-traveled road.

His heart, weary and downtrodden
from years of loneliness,
accompanied his every step
with slow beats of its own.

The man's search for the one
blossom to make him whole had
thus far proved fruitless,
and he was nearing his end.

Suddenly, his senses were awakened,
synapses were set on fire,
while his heart cried out joyfully!

A wonderful scent engulfed him,
bathing him,
beckoning at him.

With eyes closed, he inhaled
the paradisaic perfume until
his lungs were immersed
in the most wonderful of pleasures.

Then, opening his eyes, he saw her,
the one he had ardently been searching for;
his Lilac, his beautiful Lilac blossom,
to make him whole again.
