Aren't They All
"[T]he top one percent of households globally own 43 percent of all personal wealth, while the bottom 50 percent own only one percent."
--The 2020 Credit Suisse Global Wealth Report
"All hail, Macbeth, thou shalt be king hereafter!"
--the Third Witch to the top one percent
A Lord of Scotland am I here declared--
Or "Laird" (the title all we clans prefer)--
While my old lady dubbed be "Lady" Merde--
Though she insists I hail her yet as "Sir";
How I the bonny lad in kilt do look
When whirling in the heather on the heath
Or cuddling up with "Mackie" in a nook
Delighting in the draft with fiendish teeth!
Straight stretches still my land twelve inches long;
Twelve inches yet Milairdy's stretches wide;
Thus squared our stronghold be one foothold strong
Wherein the horse Sir Lady thrills to ride--
Who pumping pipes, "Och, aye! Och, aye! The nooooooo!"
As rearing drones the stallion, "Och! Me tooooooo!"
