The label I hide on the wine bottle.
Is the trademark of my woeful heart’s abyss.
I hear the reverberating sounds of nothingness-
Overpowering once deafened but now reawakened ears.
I trespass through tides of opaque waters.
Eerie boardwalk creaks near the white sand beach,
where the harbor channels turbulent waves clandestine.
I am introduced to giddy lovers trekking through dense seaweed,
speaking absurdities and bizarre soliloquies.
Streams of rambling consciousness drift through winds of thunderous ocean
followed by morose tears of an apparent tragedy.
They told me of the psycho cat’s demise –
Their furry beloved settling in the paper urn accompanying them.
Hoping to disperse its ashes onto torrid waters,
instead, being greeted by a boomerang charade.
Another nightmarish hell bestowed upon me,
sabbatical dreams after quarantine.
