IDOLS Is there a life in these idols of mine? I’m dusting them off, every morning So they can shine And they sit by the window Keeping watch so well Oh, and if they had voices The stories they could tell One came from England One came from France One by pure luck One came by chance One came from Spain One came from town One fell with the rain The other leaves a frown Well, it ain’t the thing Rather, the person behind A memory, a moment A way to rewind The stories I’m a-keepomg The memories are mine I’ll keep it just for me These idols I shine
