I AM Me

Shadorme

I am Me

I am me
Just me, that is all
No one else
Can me be
If I stand, or if I fall
Me they cannot be.

I’m unique
Just like all of you
I’m happy
I don’t seek
I just do the things I do
I, this truth do speak

Please don’t try
To make me like you
I am me
Till I die
I just do the things I do
Please don’t ask me why

God made me
Just the way I am
I’m the way
That I be
I don’t really give a damn
I’m just what you see.

I am all
Just like all of you
I am life
Beautiful
Though I’m me, and this is true
I think it’s all cool.

The Shadorma is a Spanish poetic form made up of a stanza of six lines
(sestet) with no set rhyme scheme.
It is a syllabic poem with a meter of 3/5/3/3/7/5.
It can have many stanzas, as long as each follows the meter.
Little is known about this poetic style's origins and history
but it is used by many modern poets today.
This variation of the haiku, which is evident by its syllable pattern,
can be seen in use in many writing venues

You are preaching to the preacher here. My motto which is on about twenty of my paintings in actual words is "Be you!" for if you can be yourself, that is more than enough. God has only made one of you, so you are necessary. The truth is "I am me" is the best thing you can do for yourself, and if you are a teacher, for your students. Research shows students learn more from a confident teacher. Lovely!

Hi Caren, to be ones own self is the most important thing to learn. That is the trouble of the world. everyone is tying to be the other person never themselves. I learned this many years ago and I usually spread this message around. Thank you for your kind comments, my friend....Peter
