How Lucky Can One Be?

I guess I am so lucky
At seventy-six years old
I’m not touched by anything
The heat, the rain, the cold
I get up in the morning
And, I am filled with glee
I lay me down in the evening
And I sleep so happily

I guess that power in the sky
Is always there for me
My life it is so beautiful
I live each moment free
There’s something deep within my soul
That fills me full of joy
This sweetness god has given me
There’s nothing could destroy

Oh, god who makes life like it is
I truly thank you so
You’ve put me on a total high
And gave me such a glow
I know that death is getting close
But I’ll meet it with a grin
I have loved this game of chance
As I reached that space within

Hi Caren I always seems to me that the power is watching me all the time. I have put myself in so much danger But here I am in may old age and still feeling totally alive. Thank you, my friend, as always I appreciate you, my friend....Peter
