Gigi, the Dog on a Diet
There was once a dog named Gigi
Who lived by the motto “feed thee!”
Not one for moving,
her vet (disapproving),
said, “That lazy dog needs to see me.”
We took Gigi in fairly soon.
Her cute little face made folks swoon.
But with body so big,
(she stuck out like a pig),
The vet made her walk to the room.
Gigi was placed on a diet.
Her owners thought it a riot.
Until the vet looked at them
Saying, “You could lose ten.”
And the room turned suddenly quiet.
The moral is perfectly clear.
Do not mock the one’s you hold dear.
The things that you say
might be headed your way,
Coming closer, on target, and nearer.
