Gentle Tears

Gentle Tears

Like gentle tears of pain calling my name
Oh subconscious not you at me again
My heart already feels the pain of my loneliness
I know he is somewhere out there
But somewhere far away

I want you back but how would you ever know
How I truly feel we ended on a bad note
My neighbors think I'm crazy
But you my dear friend the moon you don't
You see everything they don't understand

There came a sad morning at the end of September
Oh how I will always remember
But now it is December of tree long years
You and I have been apart with a broken heart
Oh dear Velvet moon you're all I have

At night when the stars Light up my room
I am crying with you dear moon
I sit by myself thinking about all the words I had never said
All the pain was missing with my head
Talking to the moon kissing away my emotions to another day
Trying to get to you is a very hard thing for me to do

In hopes and so many dreams I pray you're on
The other side of the moon doing the same thing
Talking to me too
Or am I just a fool thinking you still love me too
Who sits alone like me every night crying to a moon

I know New York is very big
But not as big as the velvet moon who sees everything
Oh I'm feeling like I'm famous
The talk of the City looking like a lost clown with much pity
They say I've gone mad

I've gone mad alright I cry
You don't know my life so get away from my window
But they don't know what I know
Because when the sun goes down someone's talking back
My heart breaking of missing you

It's such a lonely sound when the nights are silent
You could hear every tear that falls from my heart
The cries for the need of someone to come along to take
This old pain away from me
But there's no one around to pick me up when I had fallen

Nobody hear to hold me
No one to warm the cold that lies deep within my soul
Just the sound of the rain falling
Like gentle tears of pain calling your name.
