Generations
A grandchild is born
enduring fealty is sworn
whole family gathered round
listening sweet gurgling sound
emerging first month giggles
urged by delighted grandma tickles
drawn as bees to honeysuckle
tender pats and high five knuckles
teach the ways a sibling learns
amidst those moments infants earn
passage rights unique to the klan
endorsing a way of life that can
lift praise 'n lifer bonds unspoken
never announced, never broken
whilst hearts thru love duly meld
visions far stir one potent golden weld
