Friendly Flowers Gathered
"Flowers we gather along life's highway, are friends kept in memoirs floral bouquet."
Daffodil, tranquil queen of the bower
Shining like the sun after a shower
Merrily dancing the day's blues away
Blowing your trumpet in the nicest way.
Rose, fragrantly you bloom without a thorn
Velvety soft as the day you were born
Together we've both shared wishes and dreams
Scenarios of tangled webs we'd weave.
Peony, voluptuously charming
Dimpled smiles so sweet and quite disarming
Wherever you'd be, heads would turn to see
Such alluring, fascinating beauty.
Daisy, does he love me or does he not
I cannot recall the answer I got
Still I wear your golden heart on a chain
One touch and you're back here with me again.
Forget-me-not, my beautiful flower
Who graced my days many an happy hour
Wild child with those beguiling eyes so blue
Such fun to be had on nights out with you.
Lily, how we laughed till we were giddy
Girls out on the town acting so silly
Happy-go-lucky, good times very nice
Say the word and I'll be there in a trice.
Poppy, always know that I love you so
Remembered for your courageous bravo
Now you've come to the end of life's story
Be still in heaven's palace of glory.
