Fadded Memory

Dear stranger it's odd to call you that but you are one to me at least. See I don't remember you very well. Only heard stories about you the last twenty-four years now. Most of the stories make me laugh and roll my eyes. Most days I do remember some of the suff from my early childhood. You taking my sister and I to the park and the public pool a lot of the time. i remember you pushing me on the swings and teaching me how to go up the jungle gym net. Then again there were the only places we could go in such a small town like that. I still tell the story of how you called your brother's to see if I was ok after I got stitches in my hand. Stranger you did your best to get me to laugh. There is a memory I have of you not sure if it's real or not but it's still in my head to this day. The memory of us watching reruns of your favorite show is still comes to mind at times. I even taken to watching them on line on your birthday. It's my way of remembering you that day. Last time I visited you was ten years ago now I know I should go see you more but going back there brings back some of the bad memories. I even have a photo of you and mom on my wall. I look at it a lot of the time. Showed your grandkids the picture; they asked why didn't you smile. Told them that you forgot your teeth that day. It made them giggle. Maybe one day I'll see you again to get to know who you are not just the person I have such fadded memories of.
