Airing my opinion to my wife.
     Daring to suggest another child,
Caring for the family I loved,
Sharing our noble thoughts, she smiled.

Where would we find enough to live on,
Aware of all the needs for us to care?
Dare we tempt our God with our needs?
Prayer we said and went to our lair.

With God, all things are possible. He will provide, as long as we provide as well. The best that we can. "Little is much, when God is in it" Your thoughts caress softly around me and my heart. :) Brandy

It must be a tough decision to have another child when finances are tight. Sometimes the answers do come through prayer. A lovely poem, Victor. Hugs for you, Carolyn

Too many children are left without love, but if I could I would raise a dozen more. At our age, let's enjoy our grandchildren (lol) Excellent write, Victor. Best wishes in the contest.

Excellent poem.. Wonderfully rhyming.. When we think of bringing a new life to this world, we should be sure that we left enough for them to survive.. Not talking about the money.. But the nature they need for survival... Good luck in the contest..

Many can relate to the dialogue you articulated Victor--so hard to execute the rhymes in this form--well done indeed--excellent write, as always.

Enjoyed reading your work. Children are a blessing from the Lord and happy is the man who has a quiver full of them. Babies and preschoolers add a newness to a home and family. It is exciting to see what they learn each day. The freshness is amazing. Reads like a good contender for the contest. Sara

This is so beautifully done, a heartfelt memory. The ending line oozes with all kinds of sensuality.
