Charles Bukosky Where are you Now

Charles Bukosky where are you now?
You wrote your last poem and then said goodbye.
I don't know a real lot about you,
but your poetry says it all,
You hung out on the lower rung
With all the bums and drunks.
You were a sort of drifter that I can see,
Picking up meal here and there
It was good enough for you.
You know what they say Charles that you were one of the best
They have you down next to Shakespeare, Allan Poe
And even Longfellow and Yeats.
Charles you punched your way through life,
and I just hope death is better for you,
Since you had a hard time of it;
you
