Summer is about to begin,
Now November is coming in,
Warmer days can be expected,
Cricket will be resurrected,
Soon crowds will be seen at the beach,
Now that summer is within reach.
We all will need to guard our skin,
Sun exposure can be a sin,
Hats should never be neglected,
Our heads need to be protected,
While surfers' hair will start to bleach,
As high above the seagulls screech.
Sporting heroes, true grit within,
Will all hope for a major win,
Now that training is perfected,
And their former flaws corrected:
The winners will then proudly each
Oblige us with a modest speech.
