Rosina sonnet

At Pinnaroo

At This place called Pinnaroo
Where those bodies rest in peace
That lake reflects sky so blue
There I find such sweet release
Tall kangaroos they bounce by
I do love these wondrous beasts
All they feed on the grass so high
Lie there some, while others feast
This park is so beautiful
So, at peace I hear birds sing
Bliss is there within their calls
Oh, such joy to me they bring

At this place called Pinnaroo
That’s a place I love so true

Sounds like a nice park, where you live has so many beautiful places... Maybe next time I will go to PErth instead of Sydney, I have a couple of friends there... Also it is a lot closer!

Hi Silent. Pinaroo is a combination of a beautiful park, and a burial place. So many roos bounce around there. It has a lovely serene feel to it. It would be nice to catch up with you if you did come over. I came over here from Peckham, London Fifty two years ago, and what a difference I found. Thank you for your kind comments, my friend....peter

A serene setting indeed where kangaroos merely hop by and I love the name Pinnaroo. I cannot help but wonder if this is an actual place? A park?

Hi Caren Pinaroo was given the name by the beautiful people who are natural to this country. It Is both a park nd a resting place for the dead. It is just up the road to us and is filled with many roos. So serene it is. Thank you for your kind comments, my friend....Peter
