A Thousand
A thousand …
A thousand words will not make them understand
Begging and pleading, I know, I have tried
Writing poems and stories of love; holding hands
Or shedding a million tears, I know, I cried
A thousand ways, to express the pain
Angry words that tear each other apart
And, all of it, is really in vain
When in the end, you break your heart
A thousand years, and, the story is the same
Lovers quarrel and lovers part
And, feeling that the other, is to blame
When, forever turns to lovers apart
A thousand words will not make them understand
When, they never really hear what you say
A thousand tears, or love, that time will span
Will sometimes not be enough to stay
