A Dinner Fin
The ship did sail on Wednesday
Phew! So far to go
Jumping, riding over waves
Splashing to and fro
Anchor at the ready
Thrown now to the fore
What will we have for dinner
What will come on shore
Wriggling writhing eels
Salmon, soft and sure
Crab, prawn, cockles
Prawns?.... No more!
Let’s set the sails flowing
Get sea spray to our skin
Prise the day right open
Bring home, ‘A Dinner Fin’.
