THE VANQUISHED

Folks, I perused it in black and white;
The Octogenarian verbalized after the civil war that
"There are no victors and no vanquished."
Scores of years gone by, we now visualize
Who the victors and the vanquished are.
The victors are:
The remorseless oppressors, and downpressors,
Who traverse our land in their private jets and bullet proof SUVs, protected by a swart

Turtle Dove

A turtle dove
I landed on your chest
Widened the jagged crack 
Your Heart chambers shivered
Quiet silver ripples in a
Tender Garden of Eden 

Watching me, your son
Clapped his hands in orange glee
I sought some breadcrumbs 
Which I found upon your stable sea
I was vanquished by the I
Within your I

Vanquished

All I ever hear in my ears,
"All your fears finally disappeared."

Spirit Lives Amidst Death

Their pride was wounded,
And the win turned pyrrhic red,
Felt nigh defeated
When they saw some hands wave flags
O from a pile of dead rags.

Ghost-Fears Vanquished By Holy Ghost

Admitting painful cause of childhood fright
I would cringe hearing … “Ghosts appear tonight
especially to the cowardly nervous…”
Such tortured me with panic so grievous.

Yet, in pretense, my heart struggled to cope
while loathing ghost stories that vanquished hope
robbing me once of bliss I yearned to claim…
Such propped me to face weakness against shame.

Nurtured by parents midst loving

Vanquished

Tapering off in a redundant gesture of defeat
An erroneous life silently suffocating on fumes
Indoctrinated since birth
and reprogrammed by independent perception
Disenchanted as the layers peel back
revealing the perverted roots of a seemingly fruitful surface

Death

You pride yourself as the conqueror of humanity
You boast that your power over man is awesome
And strike him numb with fear
You sneak into his life announced
Sometimes you appear unannounced
But always with devastating finality
The rich cannot tame you
The poor quake as you come knocking
The mighty tremble before you
The royalty dread you perpetually
As a veritable threat to

Vanquished

Upcoming sun that must rise in the East                 
Vanquished in loss

Disarmed By Beauty, Vanquished So

She wipes the sleep from her misty eyes
                               With fragile hands and polished nails;
           

Vanquished Trust

If you a seeking for trust? 
Behold deep within your inner self.


Prisoner in a castle called chest.
Captive in a chamber that's blood red.


Bound by shackles of impure deeds.
Whose jagged edges have defiled.


The basic definition of humane kind.
She is the love child of hope and charity.

Apocryphal gospel preached by demigods.
Inundating the analytical mind.

Begetting a cesspool of

Vanquished

Fighting halos & absurd romantic logos
Trying to rid myself of this feeling
This feeling of surrender
Trying to rid myself of this needing
This needing to surrender

Afraid of what I might become
If I come undone
Fearing I've already pushed my love away
Knowing he & I were meant to be

Crying hopeful tears of regret
Sighing breathless words into the wind
Thinking back

Voldemort, By Contrast, Was Vanquished Easily

Changed climate is not a surprise
With drilling for gas on the rise
Where can life forms hide
From carbon dioxide
And methane let loose in the skies?

Neo-druids auger gas wells
And add fluids with sulfurous smells! 
Are poisons they've tapped
With their magic wands trapped
Evermore by sorcerous spells? 

Votes and news seem not relevant
The unrelenting elephant
In all our best rooms
Is

Man of Vanquished Spirit

An unseen ghost
Knows just who to scare
By bringing fear

He meanders down an alley
To find an unsuspecting man

One taste he wants
To indulge to the fabric
Of this life’s being

He appears to him
This man of vanquished spirit
So pained he ignores

The fearful ways of a ghost
So rarely cast aside by pain

No soulless being
Has ever withstood a ghost’s
Intricate forceful ploys

The Actor Vanquished

Darting up and down, left and right
Over my little being
With fright you easily show your might
Have I ever sought your meaning?

Have you ever stopped and wondered?
Torrid pendulum striking, yet unheard,
Of what use is that behaviour?
Of losing your utmost valor!

Even if your shield is your armor
And your weapon lies in being an actor!
Vincible you are and
