The Upper Wealthy

It was said that famous families
only lasts for about three generations
The Churchills, the Kennedys, and many
Others have a sale by date.
I thought of that while watching a program by
Crise Hedges, who happens to have grown up
among the stratospheric wealthy, and he
spent time trying to distance himself from
that class of people
He can't, everything about his language
manner, the smoothness of those who have
not had to strive
Cris was interviewing a man who writes
books about the rich, who, according to
him are bad for our society and economy
Clearly, the rich are different from those who have
No private plane when going shopping
They send children to the top school in a limo
They have a big household staff to keep
them in clover, and security, to be rich also
Mean someone is out to do your harm
The two men began annoying me, telling
stories about the wealthy, sounding like
a couple trying not to sound envious

Buddy 5

My buddy will always be
like poetry.

But sadly,
the poetry itself caused suddenly
an emotional rift.

And I thought
she will be standing firmly
at her stand
and I would remain feeling
stupidly upper hand and silently drift.

But she
proved herself to be the better one
just to make me realise graciously
a real buddy bond does not ever
break or shift

and showed me thawing my heart
with the sweet surprise of a
buddy caring gift.

Kicking stones is one way to pass time
Other times will be riding the bike
There are many ways that you can find
Take a walk through town and see the signs
Then going out on some friendly hike

Hanging with friends after the bell ring
Then playing some sports shortly after
And go to see the newest showing
Having sodas, popcorn, gum chewing
And just have fun, joking and laughter

Sometimes the circus follows the fun
kids go crazy, parents hysterics
it's a joyful time for everyone
reasons and purpose that they all come
laughter clowns caused ... just silly antics.

There's a park near town where fun is found
and a swimming pool for fools like us
a park, a pool, and a spacious ground
play soccer, football, or play around
a place of Arithmetic, A-Plus.

A part of the upper crust of society
I have never been
Methinks “down to earth” more accurately
Describes this old homosapien
No airs, no talking big, no flamboyant flair
Just little old simple me
Now that word “simple” can be misleading
I don't think I've ever been considered simple
In terms of brain power
But at the other end of the scale
Certainly never classified myself a genius either
Somewhere in the middle... an average joe
This is my comfort zone
In my teen years, I floundered around
Wondering what life had in store for me
Until I realized I had a flair for creativity
And in particular “graphic design”
I have never ever regretted my decision
To head off in that direction
In fact in my 80's I was still active
With a show of hands...
How many of you enjoyed the profession
To the degree that you never wanted to retire
Let's see, one, two, three... oh and another!

A butterfly, aliferous,
of subtle slights, soniferous,
common spirits, days just went by,
aliferous . . . a butterfly.

Low pinnacles alight sought rest
forgiving sun favors spread best
microscope's trial . . . clinical's
nigh shipyard trash, few binnacles.

A game of chess, castling sleight clouds,
floating iced-pawn, a seaboard crowds,
Queen waves her move, column King, guess,
castling sleight clouds, a game of chess.

A sun descends, dusk purple trend,
birds fly inland, soon be darkened,
crater aglow, twilight ascends
dusk purple trend, a sun descends.

Orange drawn night, few shakes be such,
the moonlight trade, silver isn't much,
tours came and left cause show took flight,
few shakes be such orange drawn night.

Where learned men converse
On college grounds traverse
Those lads debonair and debutantes fair
With diamonds in their purse

By limousine conveyed
Their education's paid
A most common tale of Harvard and Yale
Where seeds of affluence laid

When privileged young voyeurs
Become doctors and lawyers
From arrogant perch they snub and besmirch
Sneering at Tom Sawyers

Under thumb of those knaves
We become but their slaves
Placed in the dust by the cruel upper crust
With no names on our graves

The Last Supper Upper Supper

Rumination.
Too long an elongation
Oblivion
Too easy a high five to see in freedom, in scope of Pentagon
The eternal fire, chest of drawer and homeland security
Almost a climax toward Bermuda triangle
A selfless supplication in the third act
Without writing how will you find meaning too , through abstraction?
I am an assonance
To odd a pain
In revision of torn pages
To forecast pills of nine
Will there be any benign?
To tell a tale , to cast a forecast
Gaze, maze, in audacity of courage
I love you, your heart beats in mine
I rub you, I feel your overcoat, the woolen layers
And I tell you, softly
Upper supper, look me in to the eyes
Familiarize a face
You have to give a speech
For a lost butterfly
On the twenty first floor
Of the tower.
“Did you say tailgating?” The question came
I replied, to do rely, almost a reply’s try,
A point of no return, I love you in supreme time
But how will I describe my rumination?
In odds of your twenty years
And ninth of mine?

Premium Member Mary Smith, a Famous Knocker-Upper

Mary Smith, a famous knocker-upper
in London's East End,
Shot dried peas with her pea shooter.
At workers windows
to wake them up
to get to work on time
Every morning
Mary walks up and down
the east end with her pea shooter
Shooting dried peas at the shattered windows
waking everybody up to that familiar tune
of tap tap tapping dried peas
on my window.

Let Him Drink More Punches

A time you must exploit
To have things for him spoilt;
To stop The Cynical,
His knockout ‘Technical’…

Let him drink more punches
And keep making bunches;
Soon, The guy you would waste
And His Hopeless Case rest…

More jabs to his soft head
To soon help him see Red…
He’d be hating himself
And you laughing yourself

You take the Center Stage
And he shall be All Rage;
Another Jaw Breaker
A New Marriage Wrecker
Your left hook in Round Four
To send him down the floor
Upper-Cut Heart-Stopper
Makes him Dead Grasshopper.

Upper Room

From the internal of the internal,
to the throne of the Eternal,
the bitter turns sweeter
scening eternity to the sigher,
soothing and solacing the sinner ,
and O! silencing the sneaky serpent.
Like an eagle it causes the drooping sobbing spirit
to rise over salty storms.
