I war dead, ever since Adam died
I remained dead until Christ came
Until He arose from the grave
I remained dead yet alive, for
for the thirty-three years of
His earthly ministry
Then Christ willingly died for me
After three days of being dead
He arose, I also rising with Him
Rising in triumph and glory
Triumphing over treason and death

I long to sleep until the leaves have gone
taking all the memories of summer love,
and dream until the winter’s dawn.
When the cloak of autumn is soon drawn;
when evening stars dance in the sky above,
I long to sleep until the leaves have gone.
Wind still sings in the Forest of Argonne,
I hear the song of my truelove
and dream until the winter’s dawn.
September dreams are like a swan
who flies entwined with her beloved,
I long to sleep until the leaves have gone.
Seasons stretch as nature yawns,
I hear the calling of spring doves
and dream until the winter dawns.
The memory of summer past is long
and autumn chill will soon unglove~
I long to sleep until the leaves have gone
and dream until the winter’s dawn.
I’ve been waiting for the phone to ring
there are times when I’m unsure
anticipating what the mailman brings
sometimes I feel so insecure
but I’ve got better things to do
than looking forward to
memories I have yet to make
some day with someone new
are you my future are you my past
there are times when I have doubts
contemplating will tomorrow last
sometimes I feel left out
but I know better than to wish
for the loving that I miss
heaven I have yet to taste
some day in somebody’s kiss
so until the next time I feel the need to cry
I won’t go walking in the rain
no until the next time
I see your smiling eyes I won’t fall in love again
I felt you.
A current cascades down my spine.
A ripple in my quiet unmoving sea.
I seek that very ripple. That shiver.
Craving it.
I long for the day that your ripple may finally become a wave, yearning for it to wash over me and swallow me whole.
For when I would finally be immersed with you.
she came across quickly
in a fleeting zip
my husband asked if I had seen her
I had not
I thought he was seeing things
because he was
he kept pointing to something I could not see
until I was ready
she was not a ghoul, merely a spirit
ghost might be a word for her
she moved silently through the room
and disappeared
I kept my mouth shut
pretending I saw nothing
not until November his mama said
squirrel got angry and his cheeks got red
when is that? he wanted to know
it will probably snow, she said, probably snow
the next day was November first
but his mother could be kind of the worst
she did not tell him, because she was not in the pie-baking mood
that is what he was after, his favorite food
(when my wounds have stopped bleeding and) [their eyes close for just a moment]
(i remove my sharpened bandages yet) [earth cares not of my turmoil i am blanketed in]
(why is there shame in hurting) [skin that was molded greatly in the eyes of no one]
(stars that glimmer for the sake of the night) [seldom bothered by the crowd]
(please i have nothing left to offer get me off) [the tables that merely overhear murmurs]
(this world that munches me bit by bit) [scratches again and again]
until nothing can be made of
(me) [it]
You shall be in my place,
Until you kept it real.
Your thigh were my comfort,
Until no one can replace.
my words aren't heard,
Until you were eerie.

IRAN SAYS JUST WAIT
We were great together
when we seen things the same way,
but in the end
our views changed
feelings changed
and we were torn apart
in disagreement
I heard - that the Sun and his distance
Once fluttered persistence
To the Moon, that her beauty would free.
Through the dark of his absence
Shining still, her florescence
Against the backdrop of stars in the sea.
Chasing day's independence
Bluest skies, fading crescents
As his light forces her to flee.
Until the night falls,
Until time becomes a barrier,
Until the sleep creeps in,
Until the moon goes & sun rises,
I will be yours.
Until it would become memorable,
We will walk on the pavement that leads to nowhere,
Life until the common destiny of ours - Love & Death.
Until our words end,
Until the very last breath,
When silence wouldn't be a storm,
Silence wouldn't be forced.
Until dawn draws,
Until embraced are our flaws,
Until love knows no laws,
I will be yours!
Until I hear all your stories, chaos & drama,
& until I can provide love to you,
I will be yours.
But until my love speaks,
Will you be mine, after all?

So happy when you became my wife.
But then he came into your life.
With charming words you behest
the imps of fairytale lore
to decorate my hope chest
with golden laughter galore.
You hold me close as we dance cheek to cheek,
the fae in the band give music a tweak,
we waltz until moonrise, salsa til dawn,
and wonder-struck at how fast time has gone.
Then in the distance storm clouds are coming,
you laugh and embrace the cold wind
blowing in and chumming~
evil is twinned…
hell!
So swiftly do
the years pass by
Wherever do they go?
If only we
could gather them
together in a row
Within each one
I'd stroll along
reliving them again
The laughter
and the songs we sang
would never see an end
But truthfully
such things can't be,
save in our memories
And thanks to you
we have such sweet
remembrances as these
That fateful day
that comes to all
has knocked upon your door
And so, dear friend
we part for now
until we meet once more

* I lost a dear friend on New Year's eve. This is for her. If you lost any loved ones recently, this is also for you, and in their beloved memory.
