Impartial
litigation is what
sustains democracies
Kangaroo courts are what
sustain tyrannies
Does the judge
represent the rule
of law or the decision
of an autocrat?
Tyranny flourishes
when decent people
do nothing

Those defending
the dictator
pirouette with a
nonchalant indifference
as the tappers stamp
defending their case
for justice with a determined
fierce percussion

With their hands in the air
The jurors must make their
decision, observing, confusion,
is there a resolution?
What shows a judge’s gavel impatience
Ultimately, we the jury are the people
Autocracy or democracy?

A New Mad American Empire

This is the edge of America
This is the edge of America
The land of the free
Home of the brave
The Republic of Tyrannies
White hoods and black fist
Cities in flame
Agent Orange burns
Television drones on
Into the static electric night
This is an American
Edge of Reality
Edge of Dreams
Madness across this land
Sinister grins, white and bare
The moon is fat and glows brightly
In a lunatic land of blinded sight
Wide the hollows of reapers glare
Thy engines of flesh and bone
Rise towers of black smoke
Industrial flames flare
Crimson and jagged stone
Eyes fractured façades stare
This is a new mad American Empire

Not to be iconoclastic,
Nor politically bombastic,
But the elephant's weapon is gravity,
While the Trumpublican's seems depravity.

Normal is normal - it is not abnormal
Right is not wrong - or logic is terminal

Subverting a culture of tolerances and reason,
All tyrannies threaten peace and stability.
                          Unreasonable tyrants from belligerent minorities
                          Menace tranquility with total hostility.

Up is not down - orange is not black
Air is not water - opinion is not fact

Using lies to spread a dangerous delusion,
With fascist hate speech - bully invective,
                          Political spin spreads fear and confusion;
Objective reporting is not politician subjective.

Telling a story is not - telling The Story

Premium MemberWritten In Self-Imposed Exile

That I be ambushed in early gambit
for my king was a sacrifice too great -
just a pawn in a game and I am it
plays out its capture and winless stalemate.
He not bared to his human desires nor
fruit on the essential vines thirsts alone -
and in the great fu-ckening at my core
is a real fear and fate that I must own.
But a debt of faith is ransomed this day
and worse, a debit of endless sorrow -
a usury I must now bear and pay,
and from the heart this I’ve had to borrow.
I am a hostage to my tyrannies,
a prisoner of old hostilities.

In the Silence of Heaven I

In the silence of heaven
there are half-buried machines
where a man once wanted to dwell!

Some of these were built with a design in mind
with regards to deities' fame and Tyrannies.
Awash in the propped-up ancient lies
of creations wreckage covers
all in chrome and thunderstorms.

...an Oceans shining through
to see the ships a sail on heaven seas
In the heart of what will be
all there is,
is the dead staring past into infinity!

And the machines of ancient gods, diluted deities
A washed in electric snow
like holy furies
Adrift from hollowed centuries...
In the breath of the Sacred
and the profane.

In the tranquility of heaven
there are silent machines
where men once dwelled.

Awash in the propped-up
ancient lies like creations wreckage cover all
in tapestries of thunderstorms.
Here The Carrion lie...

In to seas shining through
To witness ships sail in heaven breeze.

Somewhere between the silence of heaven
and the rage of the heart
lies the lands of where thunderstorms depart.

Premium MemberThe Mere Thought of You

The mere thought of you
makes my heart speak
I reach for you with no memory
of ever being without you
my mind wander within this space

my soul's a galaxy of your haze
replacing the gentle hues
with a magnificent enrichment
craving my inner most thought
I'm tangled in you manhood

gathering life's essence desiring
man embracing the warmness
of your touch the melancholy rapture
gazing over forgiveness capturing
acceptance loving you just as you are

change nothing in my sight
for I may be driven to explore
other shores preoccupied by your
masculine energy mastering
this son of man son of god

moving over the tyrannies
of haste morbidly leaving me
in ah the purity of our passion
tainted only by time the vintage
wines bestowing my beauty

soothing every line from the
nape of my neck to the small
of my back the silkiness of my legs
the sculpture of your ribs the form
of your arms around my waist

I shiver and quake patiently
awaiting your arrival opening
my sensual self above the hidden
moon as clouds fill the heavenly sky
I search for you always by and by

Give Me Freedom

In the mystery of irony
I have no liberty
Not even in my country
I grieve as sorrows breathe in my nostril.

Sadness pushes me to speak
But still fear grips me
The color of my skin
Shouldn't distinguish me.

I am dropping the tears of a slave
My spirit gale in rave
My blood standing still in my vein
And my soul melts on the sigh of my grave.

Droplets of rain beating my zinc
My tears cage in a box of misery
My inner sanctum knees in confusion and Freedom has become my biggest depression.

I have submitted myself in their deceit
Happiness has become my nightmare
Loneliness has become my motivation
No words to describe my intention

The days of tyrannies are over
Loose me from the bundles of terror.
Hold my hand as I enter in the city of freedom.
Where love and peace rest in man's bosom.

Premium MemberTo a Wild Witch

With flowing robes,
pungent herbs,
arching doors,
organic walls,
and eerie lights,
you take on trappings
of one thought evil.
Yet in you beats
an open heart—
one always skirting
curdled customs,
sterile allegiances,
trivial tyrannies—
one ever seeking
reunions with roots,
transforming spaces,
raw possibilities.

Premium MemberIn This Land of Hope

Weaving the labyrinth of the tyranny of time,
let not the chartered task waiting ashore
become a victim of the rising tides of apathy
between our temple pillars of faith and hope.

Rather, in the due time coming let us be anchored,
resting our sails in the waters of persistence
and determination to stand and do the right thing
to return our nation to its tenets of justice and equality.

Let us not allow the founding code of beliefs
on which the foundation of this country was laid
become mere footnotes to the keloid history
that certain historical tyrannies have overshadowed.

History—Ourstory—has and continues to teach us
many lessons; plain and simple, as well as allegorically.
Let her lessons be our guide in dismantling bigotry and injustice;
recommitting ourselves to molding a nation of peace, love and unity.

Planetary Catharsis

This kindred of separation
this breed apart
this top of the food chain
and its self distinction by the manipulation of thumbs

This arrogance of intelligence
with its pocket-sized reasoning of knowledge
and by default applies its logic
this incongruent species of taking everything for granted

These nations of waring factions
and the tyrannies of their religions
and all their obsessive obsessions with death
and all their cognitive dissonance of life

All the distractions
the desperate intentions
to impart some measure of meaning
some inkling of purpose for a life they have never really lived

Predisposed to elitism
by their own sense of division
this bipedal predator of vertebrate mammalian
assumes all of creation was only created for them

And in their frustration
and with their playground experience
they build all manner of weapons
to beat the crap out of the people living with them

Still the sun shines
and only by its grace do they continue to exist
all the quantum theories and universal singularities
do not help them with catharsis
they survive only by the elements of a planetary symbiosis

Storm Warning

Closer now
closer than we’ve ever been
as tyrannies anthem
drive us all insane

Closer now
closer to the grand genocidal of our history
this screaming civilian
barters a blood transfusion for economy

So much closer now
the dark slaughterhouse of all our love
it’s comedy of save me, sell me, give me, have me, sold me in security
is a tax relief to start a family

There’s a distant rumble undefinable
shuddering through those warning hairs
collide the squawking geese of nightmares
a breath upon the neck of fear

So much closer now
closer than we’ve ever been
as the glorious dirge of automaton
silences everyones scream

Closer than we’ve ever been
to the inglorious, vainglorious goal

A storm warning wails its danger pitch
vaccine needles drip, drip by drip by infant drip
into the dark age of the human soul
into the dead ends deadlock

So close now
so very close
a strangers breath hot upon the neck
whispers in a nightmare
“ don’t worry, you really don’t have anything to fear ”

Chasms Shine Inside Pupils Captured

in mass-produced photographs leaking
oils and plastics into oceans eternally
churning secret species speaking sonar
beyond the corridor of human tongues

awaiting arrivals admirals of slaughter promulgate
fading flags of kings and queens aging on God’s throne
as veins rise to the surface and lines on maps bulge winds
direct tyrannies toward destinations cultivated by natives
beholding prophecies piercing membranes of skylines

families gather in gluttonous homes quiet as guilt
consuming bounties bound in card-board consumed
by glowing signals processing visions of impotence
and incompetence revealing its radiating birthmark
shaped like a deformed diamond vapid as brutality

Premium MemberDrench Me American Sky -

They want to burn the flag today
to them America's blood born banner
represents jingoism, a false heroism of a broken day
a culture illegitimate in divine manner,
feeling excluded from rich spiritual deposits
cursing the color of a People truly progressive
a breed disinterested in the Marxist and Maoist,
feminists and racists come to set fire to Liberty's starry votive,
impudently waving the national rags
of failed narco states and theocratic tyrannies
chanting dystopic glories of thuggish brags
with savage violence assaulting children, women, and men with American identities,
have they ever bothered to read the 1st, 9th, or 13th Amendments
will they ever realize the illusion of ideological hatred,
in our land they live with victory's compliments
yet grown fat on the lies they've been easily fed,

We, Americans, have a heritage, and citizenry
composed of good natured, disciplined hearts,
educated, informed, and compassionate to humanity,
folk, from every continent, creed and diverse smarts,
Come, you ignorant miscreants
come and burn this flag I wear with honor and pride,
come burn it,
Over My Dead Body!

It Matters Not

IT MATTERS NOT
by
JOHN M. ARRIBAS

It matters not the price , I shall not cut and run
I will muster up the strength til the battle done
Unsheathe my sword, toil; til the conflict won
Should I perish before the victory is reached
I pray others will rise and fill in the breach
Crown your laurels there are acmes to reach

Challenge all corruption til the victory is won
Imposing evil ever ignored, ousted put on the run
All injustices challenged so truth can carry on
Evils unimpeded strengthen n continue to grow
Rise up and face them, administer the fatal blow
Lesson to all tyrannies to reap the sins they sow
