As the ethereal guitar mesmerises
My soul responds
As if I dipped into a melodic bath
Of perfectly curated
Lovingly tempered
Heart massaging
Candle flickering
Water

A fragrant tune invades
My nostrils
Flaring as the warm
Moistened air tumbles by
The world merges into
Perfection
Harmony
Stirring

The resonance
Of childhood memory
Percolating through the mist
As sliding strings
Caress my ears
My mind drifting
Towards that past
Safer place

Yet this mesmerising medication
This tuneful tumult quelling
Perfect prescription
Is deeply welcome
Somewhere in my gut
My true being
Soothed as we surrender
To this soulful sabbath

May you never grow old
At the joyful table
Where your soul dines
Hear the whispers
Of the small pleasures
Taste the fermented flavours
Of the ordinary delights
Using all your available senses

When the music plays
To transport you
Run to catch the moment
Soak in the vapour
Embibe the elixir
Breathe it all in deeply
Holding in gratitude
Each heavenly moment

Beguiled breeze braces
tuneful drizzle of twilight,
symphony echoes in pool.
Rippling rhapsody
rolls in silent melody
with sunset in purple pond.

A tuneful gorilla that they called a brute
played both the recorder and the lute,
while his elephant friend, refined,
was of a different mind,
and gave up the trumpet for flute.

Premium MemberTune Of Pain

Inspired by Prince Roger Nelson's song : When Doves Cry

Grey clouds hover over my wasteland,
the desert languishes in the heat of craving,
deprived of the tuneful rain,
until you arrive with drizzling breeze.
In your pulsating embrace
my heart’s oasis resounds
with the symphony of desire.

As the pristine patina of radiant roses
flushes your crimson cheeks,
rhapsody of longing wraps
the mesmerized meadow of my mind.
The cadence of your intimate heart
pulsates within mine,
I float in the ether of euphoria.

I fly with open wings in your sky,
a storm from nowhere tears me down.
You don’t care for the injured bird,
I hide my pain within me,
clasping the broken heart
within the collapsed wings
I desperately curl with mournful sigh.

My tear drops roll unseen for you
on the trail of melancholy,
where I hear the enchanting echo
of the songs we sang together once.
The tune now resonates like
when doves cry.

Premium MemberLovely Little Blue Bird

“Wake to the chirping of birds, get elated by their songs, allow the music to settle in your heart and dismiss all defeatist thoughts. Instead of burrowing like a mole, fly high like a bird” ~ By Poet

Oh! Lovely little bird, soaring and swirling,
Sliding and sweeping, making the sky your pathway,
Possessing the poet’s soul, you make me cheerful,
With songs mellifluous and melodious.

You dive and glide through cotton candy clouds,
With dizzy spells and a spirit so buoyant.
You roam and ride through air, trusting on your wings.
You are out on an odyssey to cross a thousand seas.

With black and beady eyes, you spot everything,
And watch the world from up above.
You wear a dazzling robe of vivid bluish hues.
You have rainbow pinions and a beak so sleek.

You chirpy friend, as you sing in tuneful voice from above,
Your songs fall in my ears as midnight choir from afar.
As you warble in sweet rhythm and lovely cadence,
You tell me that sweet spring of beauty and bliss is here.

Premium MemberWriting A Poetic Rhapsody

Ideas of an orchestral poem have spilled onto a page.
The story is tuneful and very poetic at this very stage.
A poem to be a rhapsody, of instruments with violins.
Instruments take shape, and as the symphony begins.

The tempo builds, with brightest intensity to engage.
Words follow the beat, to a crescendo of intense rage.
Now, as the kettle drums implode within their skins.
The conductor is in full control, as his baton spins.

The percussion again, joins, as the woodwind slows.
lyrics soften, and the flute’s melody gently flows.
The story is tuneful and very poetic at this very stage.
Ideas of an orchestral poem have spilled onto a page.

Premium MemberI Just Called To Say I Love You

Nightbird croons at me again, again
beneath a sheet of clouds,
like cozy pillow to my moon
to tuck my ruffled mind away...

Through drizzle's fading glint and flow
I muse about my man's upstate ride
quite distant , quite stretched the miies
as evening floats in decibels of gust,
rivering in tuneful pitter-patter of ticks.
~°~
Winds brush gently... outside my sill,
that between teapot and lamp’s flicker
slow gush of trickling dew rolls away---

The phone rings in a hush-a-bye,
chiming low, his voice drones to sigh
like tangy breeze on moistened flight
telling me ...my face outshines
    all nightstar beaming,

that he called to simply say
he loved me more fearless in the rain.

The Music of Love

For Constance’s: Write Ten Beautiful Lines
10.04.2025

The music of love

Your voice a silken stream of violins
a sea of sound swishing on my calm shore
An overture of blissful laughs and grins
As playful tempos strum your tuneful score

I hear the urge of alto saxophone
A rhythm of blues jazzing in your blood
I feel the pulse of cornets in your tone
Euphonious waves sate a joyful flood

And when the roar of drums directs the beat
It somehow, sounds delightful and still sweet

Premium MemberThe Fab Four

The lyrical quartet hearts of Liverpool pulsated,
turning the mundane drab shades into tuneful light
with the mesmeric melodies that enticingly resonated
with iconic songs “Love me do”, “Let it be” of delight,
that became a legacy of the musical golden age,
suffused many souls with synchronized joy and sorrow,
as The Beatles rocked and rolled on the world stage
with wonderful attraction of magnetic musical show,
where guitar strings echoed within the songs soaring free
on the rhapsodic wings of peace, hope and love galore,
beyond their time into the domain of sonic eternity,
where their fabled music lives adored forevermore.

Premium MemberCan't Close Your Eyes

Spring departs leaving a gorgeous gift for me,
a bunch of rose in my heart for you to greet.
In sweltering summer I won’t let it dry in heat,
in air of lyrical love it’ll shine as ruby, I’ll see.

In summer night through moonbeam I’ll take you
to the passion river across shroud of satin stardust,
glowing with silver flash laced with the lost lust.
In the vase of my heart the roses you’ll see anew.

With charming murmur of the tuneful serenading stream,
the mesmeric music of my yearning I’ll compose.
Entranced by my kiss the emotive eyes you can’t close,
see in fantasy the dance of the ballerina of my dream.

Premium MemberGillian - A Birthday Acrostic

Giant heart, relentless kindness to all she imparts
Intelligent, bookish, fashion-smart,
Leader, plants her trail with dedicated grace and flair—so you'll follow.
Laughter, as tuneful as the airs of larks or swallows.
Inquisitive, indicator of a legal luminary,
Admirable looks and acuity sounds in sharp commentary.
Neoteric, check the artistry in her stare; note the future at the tip of her fingers.

Gillian!

Premium MemberMetamorphosis

The resemblance of the omnipotence imprinted
With rare colours and shades elegantly tinted
Cherubims and seraphs adorn my being's core.
Like the capacious cosmos, I am in candour.

Senses surpass the physique and touch the psyche.
Wisdom arises beyond my likes and dislikes.
Allure becomes affection. Lust turns into love.
Divine graces, like monsoon rains, fall from above.

Consciousness and unconsciousness seem to conflict.
Connections of clear conscience, yet, within, get flicked
Like the lustre of the sun, the moon, and the stars
Rays of virtue erase naiveté’s sombre scars.

I am on earth and in heaven at the same time.
Body and soul, like church bells, are in tuneful chime.
What's heaven and hell when divine presence pervades?
The grimness of death and grave becomes godly glades.

Premium MemberThirsty

Come to me..
And I will quench.
Umbrella free..
And I will drench.

Fill your rivers..
Every one.
Morning grass..
I rest upon.

Cut the rock
In Canyon Grand.
Cool you as
Your skin is fanned..

Descend to earth
As sad clouds cry,
Restore the arid
Desert, dry.

I feed each seedling
Help them grow..
Science spells me
Two H, one O

I shift with ease
From glass, to sky
Can drip or run
No captive, I

I fill you up
In dust you'll rest.
It's life I bring
I am the best..

A timeless presence;
A pool, so balmy..
Respect me though.
I am tsunami

From dinosaur
To new born babe,
I never leave..
Despite the grave.

On Earth I'm gold.
A gift, you see..
My value is
Polutant-free

The greatest solvent
Of them all..
Mix mortar for
The strongest wall..

I lubricate
The thirsty tongue,
I wet the whistler's
Tuneful song

Creator's brush
On canvas white.
A thousand words
With ink I write..

So treat me well
And you will find
To planet home
I will be kind..

Reflect and twinkle
In your eyes.
Rescuing souls
As I baptise..

A miracle of nature
Me.
Reminding of
The Trinity.

Premium MemberThe Black Sea

Over land and sea
illuminating black pearls
reflecting memories
back to me the warm
breeze singing me tuneful
melodies I crave the sullen
hints of morning dew near dawn
a playful harmony tasting
the black sea sinking shoulders
Caspian glows throughout
The wide open granduer
arousing the Indian Ocean
capturing pure darkness eyes
wide open arms out stretched
welcoming this beautiful new day
rising from the east melting
the north star calmly comforting
warm coastal waters of the west
settled down within the midst of me
