Tricia has far-out outlandish ideas
You will not like her my friend Mable said
She is not like us, she is different, odd.

I keep my mouth shut.
I have already gotten to know Tricia.
She has the same ideas I do.

I decide to drop Mable
She was not much fun anyway

Premium MemberA Jolly Fisherman

One slushy day, a Jolly fisher fishes
a wishing well, where he knows splashy fish is.
For Princess Tricia's favourite dish is,
a plate of little squishy fresh whitefishes;
and Tricia gets all she ever wishes.
Too selfy selfish to accept shellfishes,
Dogfish, Catfish, or even some Swordfishes;
and despite her mother's pushy tisch tisch tisches,
a plate of little squishy fresh whitefishes,
is all that Princes Tricia ever wishes.
The dashing, raffish, jolly fisher's wish is
by fishing for the squishy fresh whitefishes,
surely he should switch Tricia's fishy wishes;
then introduce and show some swisher dishes.

Premium MemberIt's Our Secret, Tricia

Where do I begin ~ my memory fails me all the time
I just shake my head although sometimes I do scare myself
but it's truly hard to top the story I heard last week
about my friend who folded her laundered undies neatly
then placed them diligently on a shelf in her fridge
before proceeding to prepare dinner

Premium MemberI Think I Get It Now

No therapist wanted to do any kind of counseling for B School, which to my home is quite near.
I was frankly bewildered that three of my friends, Susan, Tad, and Sun had told me they would never come back here.
B school looked lovely; the grounds were impeccably beautiful - flowers, wind spinners, and fountains with water ever so clear.
The reception area was colorful, welcoming, pretty even, a tribute to whoever designed it so dear.
I wondered why everyone I had spoken to who had been here hated it so, it was totally unclear.
The dean of students was lovely, smart, engaging, a good listener; a woman who seemed totally dear.
"I would like Tricia Tee take you around, "Dean told me, "So you can see what a ship-shape school we run here.
We had no sooner got to the first locker when a child started to walk past, and I yelled,"Mere!"
My former student looked up, scared, frightened, mesmerized, unable to move, hypnotized by fear.
"That's a demerit for you, Mrs. K, and a demerit for Mere," Tricia said snippily, writing it down in a notebook she had near.
Um...
I think I get it now.

Hidden

I'm not sure what it was
Let's just call it happiness.
Treasure. Rare and precious.
I took it with me everywhere,
Then you came along.
Now it's damaged
There isn't much left
So I've hidden it,
But I'm not sure where.

Tell Them

Go to the wall and read the names
Go to the wall and stand
Go to the wall and shed a tear
For those that saved our land.

Stand by the wall and read the dates
Stand by the wall and cry
Stand by the wall and realise it’s now
That men and women die.

Trace your finger on a map of the world
Trace your finger on stone
Trace your finger over your heart
For we don’t fight alone

Tell them it’s not just history
Tell them of our sorrow
Tell them it’s still happening now
Sacrifice for our tomorrow

Go to the wall and wear your poppy
Go to the wall and pray
Go to the wall and shed a tear
For war won’t go away.

I Think Pink

It is time to bring out the pink
I wish this was the only time to think
You left me little by little
First a bump that turned into a large lump
I tried to ignore but you just got aggressive and knocked to the floor
First I lost right but not without a fight
I tried to keep the other but you were not a mother
You took my girls and cemo took my hair
Sometimes I wonder why I still care
I will battle until he calls me home
This I have always known

How To Win My Heart

I want a man just like Dad

So to find him let me start by saying
He is one of a kind so it will be hard to find
He worked on construction sites all my life he has a dirty mouth but not around his wife
Dad told six of us girls that men are like turds
They smell, and some are long and skinny and some are short and fat
In life some are sinkers and some are floater
steer clear of those girls
in life go for the double flusher
he is the kind that just when you think he is down and out
you can hear him pop right back in again
Now Dad gave this advice to all of us you see
I know I have been single most all my life looking for a TURD without blow flies

Doors Doors Doors

What has happened to my mind
I really do mine I wish I could find what door it is behind
Every time I think I know what door it is behind I forget and lose my mind
I look to the right and to the left but with no luck
My vision is clouded by all that muck
As i return to my quest upon the next door is just a guess
Now my search is wearing thin and I fear I shall not win
And then I opened that door.... in my head just like a flash of light
Behind it I find now what was it my heart desired no don't tell
For if I can't remember then I fail

Premium MemberRugby Shows Tricia Who's Boss

A gift from a stranger, his name is Reefer;
we know right away that he's a keeper.

We re-name him Rugby so as not to confuse;
his condition suggests that he's been abused.

Anticipating a squabble, we bring in the cat;
he sprawls and yawns, refused to combat.

He never barks, he doesn't bite or growl;
until the cat decides to eat from his bowl.

Rugby walks behind her, emits one deep Woof;
Tricia jumps straight up, leaves with no reproof.

They co-exist peacefully, eat with never a tiff;
they need no policing, if you catch my drift.

Premium MemberShe Doesn'T Know She's a Dog

Her name is Apogee Sausalito,
she is tiny, feisty and black;
when she romps with Tricia,
she thinks she's a cat.

The crafty feline hides
on the dining room chair;
'round and 'round the table,
the dog circles her there.

Behind the tablecloth,
the cat keeps watch;
reaches out with her paw,
and gives S'Lito a swat.

It's a game they both love;
each day's regular routine,
we enjoy their frisky antics
with morning coffee and cream.
