Think Poems

Too hard to think straight

Sat with my sad thoughts
Fearless as my body rots
I never knew you’d be here
I shed a tear without a fear

The devil’s not on my tongue
The angels are by my shadowy side
You’re singing the songs I sung
Once upon a time, my broken pride

You’re the only one I think about most
Who will I love most? I

I care for the limerick not at all
be it smart and witty or be it small
most are a bit mad
some are mostly bad
I confess I don't read that dastardly scrawl!

You just can’t think of anything fun to do

You just can’t think of anything fun to do

I am dying- me

You are not dying I would know-also me

I am sure my heart beats are slowing-me

Have you been counting them-another me

Stop winding us up- me and also me to another me

I have tingles in my left hand-me

Well we have been lying on that arm for

Most People I Know Think That I’m Crazy

I love the world I have created,
The people and places I have found.
Finally, I can be who I really am,
Not normal like everyone else.
I am crazy, I know that,
So does everyone I know.
Maybe that is why I love every one of them.
No matter what happens in our lives,
I can be the lunatic I want to

An Angel in A Gilded Cage Will Think Flying Is A Pain

I watch you unfold—
an argent bloom of bone and feather—
the quiet thunder of an angel
shivering beneath your skin.
I should let you rise,
let your beauty cleave the air,
let the wind kiss the hollows of your ribs.
But I do not.

I bind.
I weave my hands into the delicate lattice
of your wings,
folding them back like prayer beads,
tight against your

Think Mad hatter solving an an a gram

Angels can only do good…
well apart from one obviously
Tempted isn’t one of your 12 sins
So what was his sin
on the morning of star
Loose for a second
See when I begin to believe in me
The anagram doG will be next on my list
And I don’t support satanism
but the lesser of two evils
Does get a bad rap
What did

Premium MemberTHINK OF HAPPY THINGS

As the pendulum of life toward sorrow and sadness swings…
I find it’s beneficial take a moment…and think of happy things.

Rainbows, ladybugs, traveling….buying a magazine from an old newsstand
balloons, sunsets, picnics…walking barefoot in the sand.

Lunch with friends, a starry night…the beauty of a flower
walking in the rain, a picnic…singing in the shower.

Sharing a kiss a

Premium MemberYou Think I’m Dreaming

I felt the sea on my pulse,
the salt in my brunette,
pebbles underfoot,
the net dragging me.

I felt the familiar ebb and flow,
close to shore,
tippy-toes.

The coconut permeates the dawn,
its scent infiltrating,
its oils reverberating.

I feel the palms bending low,
so low I can touch
their feather fronds;
and fronts clashing.

First drops of the storm,
so tender-pitter-patter,
light thunder,
soft lightning.

Nearby volcano erupting,
you think I’m

The Last Night in July I think

The Last Night in July

(I think)
by Evelyn Aimarie

It is the last night in July
(I think)
And this pink Moscato tastes like you.

Memories dance to the sound of crickets chirping,
Their legs rubbing bottle brush bristles
against my brain,
Scratching an itch I didn’t know I had.

I think I will call it—
Childhood,
Memory?

Lightning bugs rave in succession,
Primordial neighbor to the procession.

Release.

The

When I Think About You My Heart Flutters

When I think about you my heart flutters,
A hush like wind through evening shutters—
Soft and sudden, tender-sweet,
The pulse beneath my thoughts and feet.

Beauty and books, how close they lie,
Like stars that lean in to kiss the sky.
Wisdom and knowledge, gently sewn
From seeds the same wild tree has grown.

I’ve seen your gaze in candlelight,
Like dawn that

I think I shall - oh yes, I shall
put you to words in books, et al
and share my scoundrel’s rationale
with those of impish-like morale
but pray you beg me love -
your coquette kiss, thereof …

(oh yes, I think I shall)

I think I will - oh yes, I will
make sure,

There once was a brain too lazy to think
As into obscurity destined to sink.
     While we dance to metre
     And conjure up theatre
That some love though into history slink.

Closer Than We Think

The night arrives unexpectedly,
Shrinking the meadow,
Gradually, we become shadows,
Our youth, enthusiasm, and vitality eroded by time.

An evening spent with my father,
Time has transformed him into a sage,
A craftsman slowed by age,
He makes me reflect on the futility of vanity.

Each
