A special day with beautiful guys,
planned a fantastic party.
For me they became as clown,
who all lift me together.
Like streamer they created,
a friendship squard.
My army surprised me with a cake,
and wish to turn twenty.
Candy, chocolate, cupcake are ready,
to get in our mouth.
So, it's time to cut the cake and,
my guys are waiting to blast the confetti.
And now my face is ready,
For cream makeup.

Spotted black, crouching low,
Approaching silent,very slow,
Large big eyes,spot him quick,
Race for life! Eyes click click!
Soaring high, measured round,
focussed search on the ground,
Talons poised for a sharp pick,
bunny dodges! Eyes Click, click!
Hooded hiss a deadly charmer,
Forked tongue, venom streamer,
Smooth, soft, and shining slick,
A Flying lizard! Eyes click click!
Sculpted beauty on the cat walk,
Whispers, whistles, it’s fashion talk,
Shutter speed and aperture trick,
A glorious shot! Camera click click!
A black box with a hole and lens,
Retinal screen with light balance,
man made camera size of a brick,
God’s tiny creation! Eyes win click!

I found her jacket folded 'midst the drift,
Atop her shoes but 'neath a ribbon, red,
Tied to a strainer that she'd used to sift
The sand, for treasures left by tidal shed ...
The streamer I had given her that morn,
Around a bunch of flowers and the ring
Upon which all our promises were borne -
Our romance and our future, taken wing ...
Her note had led me here so I could find
Her single set of footprints on the shore,
That to our special spot, did slowly wind,
Then disappeared into the tidal bore ...
That answer, I can now ne'er understand -
The words 'I'm sorry' ... written in the sand.

Whispers dance in the wind
Like little streamers in the breeze
There's something fragrant in the air
Brought about by a sudden gust
I'm a dreamer just like you
With a heart too large for my body
But we're only fragments
Of what we used to be
But your smile is so radiant
And it proves to me one thing
Even a hollow can find something wholesome
To away the chill so pervasive at night
We dive into fields of wheat
And throw ourselves off mountaintops
It's so very easy to believe
That pain was just fantasy
And that's what it's like when I'm with you
Because you're a whisper in the wind
And I'm the jovial streamer
Following the echoes of your laughter
The moonlight kisses my eyes
And I awake in a field of wheat
There's something fragrant in the air
Brought about by a sudden gust
I rather dread the idea I'm alone
But then I'm once again reminded
Whispers dance in the wind
Like little streamers for the eyes of a dreamer

As a dreamer, I never once dwelled on schemers,
so, as a believer, I fell for him, a deceiver.
I became an anger screamer and tear streamer
until romantic panic lay me down as griever.
I believed his story, his strengths and regrets
which had me set to gently drift into his net
where hidden, as yet, were his sharp-hearted threats.
He spoke of love most profuse when he played to seduce.
I revealed all my truths, he used them for abuse
while running hot then cold to steer me towards confused.
Oh, he was charm, lushness and warmth, a manly steamer.
Then he was harm, harshness and cold, a heartless quiver.
Playing the fool to his cruel, is my self-debt,
one my brain did not deduce, nor heart now excuse.

Word: Humanity
The stars,
Twinkling, celestial jewels.
Constellations,
Wandering celestial bodies,
The glittering streamer of the Milky Way emerges.
The greatest of mysteries,
Splashed across the sky,
A sea of stars.
Celestial wanderers,
On the sparkling canvas,
Which is impenetrably vast.
This is
Humanity.

Carnations and candlelight
black Cadillac Seville sleek
ace of spade fury
six chambers for a lifetime
to set things just right
bang bang
eight balls ricochetting
bang bang
rack'em up chump
cue sticks red velvety dusted
musk oil grinding virgin blood
diamond dead snake eyes
star mist and streamer
stiletto and sequin
unchain the ceiling
throbbing dreams kneeling
pearls riding moonbeams
sin sighing salvation
cracking pink champagne
black satin bullets and golden chains
drawing down mahogany shades
Caving in the morning
red-eyed and dead glory
two black carnations
sunny side down.

On the ride to daliy chores,
As clouds their bellowing did
I thought of when I'd seen her last.
Then a streamer of the Sun
Caught me in the eyea,
I thought of when last we spoke
While wondering with ardent sighs.
The worK progressed with steady speed
Till afternoon was bright,
A segment of a rainbow arched.
Her thoughts came with the night.

A drapery flutters of sunlit glory
With lustrous stars gleaming near;
Hovering around the ‘ Pearl of Orient ‘
Where seven thousand islands adorn
Tints of liberty, peace, and independence;
Radiant in hues… crimson, blue, white
Flaming the hearts of a race blessed
By lush rice terrains and summer winds.
O, a banner of smiles freely glimmers
Through a homeland destined to imbue
Love for all brethrens as it stands proud,
As the harbinger of native warmth
Offering comfort to voyagers , but
Fiercely defending a birthplace’s right…
Where one mighty streamer rides high,
Guarding folk and children…Philippines!

I’ve always been a dreamer
But isn’t dreaming better by far
Than being a front-page streamer
Telling of bad news from afar
My dreams have led me to faraway places
Where cloudless, blue skies rise behind mountains
And rainbows end leads into traces
Of brilliantly overflowing fountains
Sights unseen and never spoken of
Whisper through my agile mind
Where I can be anyone I love
Or anyone who I think is kind
Dreams are amazing pleasures
Capturing hearts with pure treasures

Sitting in my garden looking
at the majestic willow
dancing in the soft breeze.
Swaying with the wing chimes,
hanging in the eves.
The shadows of sunlight ripple
across the roof tops,
Makes an image in the visual
scene.
A bird lights on one streamer
and gets a gentle
ride, on the graceful willow
In this peaceful garden of mine

My white-washed bars surrounded me -
they held me as I slept;
they soothed me when the days were long,
and mother’s blue-eyes wept.
A baby girl, six months or less,
awakened from my sleep -
stood up legs as sure as hope;
as strong as flat is steep.
My hands, my saviors, gripped the rail
so I could peek outside –
the bluest sky I’d ever seen,
As tall as it was wide;
came into view - between the blue,
an airplane gliding by,
its smoky streamer like a flag,
across my memory’s sky...
The memory is a simple one -
a window, sky, and plane -
but in my heart, it's heaven's door
and there it shall remain.
I’ve hung it on my memory’s wall
Between that life and this –
It covers every hole I’ve dug
In sorrow’s vast abyss.
This picture brings the special peace
I knew when I was small –
Where mother’s just beyond the door,
and waiting for my call…
*Inspired by Danielle's Earliest Memory contest. I have blocked out almost every memory
from my childhood, and only a very few gems remain - this is the first. and I will treasure it
always...

Cloudy morning in 1912
Hold fast to mother's hand
Watching auntie leave
On that big ship they call "Titanic"
Feeling a little scared, but laughing
At auntie's hat
Looking like an upside down dust bin
All those black silk feathers
Giggling as somewhere in Africa
An ostrich goes naked
Mum tells me to blow a kiss to auntie
I hold a red paper streamer in one hand
Auntie holds fast to the other end
Crowds are cheering
Big ship moving fast away from us
Streamer snaps in my hand and I smile
How was I to know they would not reach the other side?
I was only eight..

Scottish charm Gods grace merry place
Long tables brightly colored cloth canopy
Foresters tales minstrels manuscript
White flowers hanging garden priests
Veins on forehead thick black beards
Castle hall best jesters bravest beef
Scarlet cross mantle linked chainmail
Gallant warhorse plaited headpiece
Kindhearted man loved her deeply
Sage smoke vapours rose sunrays
Mighty hunter brought quarry home +
breathed deeply the scent of flowers
Red-and-gold garlands on his neck.
