Sitting in my garden looking
at the majestic willow
dancing in the soft breeze.
Swaying with the wing chimes,
hanging in the eves.
The shadows of sunlight ripple
across the roof tops,
Makes an image in the visual
scene.
A bird lights on one streamer
and gets a gentle
ride, on the graceful willow
In this peaceful garden of mine

Poems From The
Heart Series
An angry sky looms outside
as I sit beneath the window ajar.
The breeze of spring flutters in by my side.
I hear a blackbird sing from afar.
It's early morning as I sip my tea,
just watching the little garden of mine.
An array of colors spread fathomlessly
about the space so fine.
I look forward to getting out upon my land
to mow and hoe the lawn 'til anew.
The smells of cut grass and earth in the nails of my hand.
Just lots of pretty breathing flowers; weeds are but a few.
Then I can sit amongst my window once more
and gaze upon the new face of my garden so vivid.
Where I smile subtly at the finished work in amour.
As I watch the flowering bulbs not so timid.
My perfect garden has meandering paths
With shady benches along the way
Perfect rows of varying heights
Rows of brilliant blossoms
Vibrant colors to stimulate my soul
Laughter is melodious
Birds sing in beautiful tones
The azure sky, soothes my soul
A lazy swaying hammock rests in the corner
Tempting all who pass
The soil is soft and moist, no weed in sight
For A Rambling Poet's contest
My theme my garden or gardening
In front of my garden I sit in my chair..
The colors so arranged and done with such care..
Off in the back a daisy who has seen a better day...
For the weeds have strangled this flower in some unkind way..
To the left a tulip stands so strong and so tall..
Almost knowing the end will come in the fall...
The bees buzz around as they mark their food..
Or possibly making a new home if that's their mood..
I turn my head to see a hole in the fence..
Knowing that late at night the animals prey as they come and vent..
The sprinkler comes on and sprays them all with water..
Some will flourish with growth others will sadly falter
My garden is colored like a small Christmas town..
I hope to keep them safe and their roots firmly in the ground..
Inspired by " Spring Garden contest"
Sitting in a rose garden with the one I love,
A warm summers evening,
Sipping nice cool wine, so devine
Hands touching hands, the scent from the flowers,
Heaven on earth, singing birds, tweet, tweet, tweet.
The setting of the sun is like fire in the trees
As their branches shimmer in the breeze.
The trickle of the fountain, calming of our spirit,
Sitting in a rose garden with my wife.
This is my entry in the five senses, five elements competition
My garden is a place for me
to step away from reality.
For there I walk with such great care,
And the plants so softly meet me there.
When spring's in warming gentle site,
I stir the ground and weeds I fight.
Pull back the dead and dying winter,
To see sprouts of love my garden enter.
Oh, with God's loving helping hand,
I am Blessed to view the slender strand
through soft cool ground anxiously waiting,
the cover of beauty in Gods creating.
So thank you Lord, for giving to me,
this little glimpse of eternity!
