SPROUTS

Salute the humble sprout,
Staple on Christmas Day.
Synonymous some say.
Simmer for ten minutes,
Savour goodness in it.
Stored iron for muscles.
So salute those Brussels .

Sprouts of Joy

tender buds sprout on persuasive branches, spring
all the birds, tremble with anticipation
most gather round the feeder while others sing
hungry souls are enthralled by God’s creation

wistful breaths of soft wind and rain remember
most are thanking God this is not December
as the weather befriends hearts with sunny skies
washing life in love as the dark winter dies

An Ode To Brussel Sprouts

This is quite a bit overdue my friends
It's an ode to brussel sprouts
Those delicious spherical bundles of joy
Not too popular hereabouts

Poor wee fellows just want to be loved
Along with all the other veggies
They've long had a real image problem
About as popular as a wedgie

Thinking of starting a worldwide petition
Anybody wishing to join
Send a hundred dollars

Bean Sprouts

As given
receiving only
who don't see
what i gave

Who has no traces of my love
Who don't need my love
Who has gone away with sad heart

One day
unintentionally
what we met
with my love
showed a new look
like bean sprouts

Also
i wanna be
a kind of person.

Newborn Sprouts

newborn bulbs from sprouts
unfurl into green leaflets
a robin twitters

tulip buds will stretch
to greet the morning sunlight
colors of rebirth

Aversion Sprouts From Desire

Under the scorching blaze of the craving sun
The desiccated life suffering forsaken parched
Searches for a wayside tree of gratification
To provide the satisfying shade of success.

The fulfillment of deep desire of irresistible love
I irresistibly desire from the core of my heart
Subsumes seamlessly the passionate hedonism
That takes me to the ambit of enticing impulse.

Chasing mirage on dwindling

New Sprouts

From the ancestors
Generations to generations
Lives carry on like new sprouts 
And flourishing like a jungle
Newborns are our hope
Nowadays newborns are totally different
Imbedded in an aircond surrounding
With love and care
A lot of toys
A lot of playmates
Hyperactive, alert and wise
Will carry on the family tree
And our mission
A mission of love of course

Mother Earth's Pods Seeds and Sprouts

Mother Earth chooses her pods, seeds and sprouts wisely.
Gently nurturing fruits, vegetables and a variety of nuts.
Her naked goodness oozes out, saturating the souls of the recipients.
She is careful to nourish her children in a multitude of tasty ways.

An Idea Sprouts

An idea sprouts
  a heterodox notion
Sweeps 'cross my radar ~
  atavistic wave on the ocean...

Can there really be
  in this metaverse evolved
A concept so novel, so fresh
  it gets people involved...

From high heavens and hills,
Rivers fall from their frills,
To give green sprouts of hope,

Brussel Sprouts

Ice cream used to be a special treat of mine
But veggies have replaced it, most are divine
Especially brussels sprouts
Make me stand up and shout
Veggies, yeah veggies, love em ten out of nine

Brussels Sprouts

Brussels sprouts for breakfast, Brussels sprouts for lunch,
Sprouties served with iced champagne to make the perfect brunch!
Boiled and drowned in butter, or juiced to make a punch,
Brussels sprouts the tasty treat that I just love to munch!

Now I love to have a pet around but not a cat or dog,
Don't want no flop-eared bunny, or

- When Spring Sprouts -

When spring comes, as the tide
Like maize in a pot, it's time to dance and hop 
The missing sun melts the snow, it will not be denied
It starts pretty quiet, with a little 'pop'
Green meadows and many delicious lamb chop

For unpopularity they're it
