Trump

Triumphed against all enemies
Remaining unvanquished
Uniting all who oppose him
Might makes right
Patriots unite behind the Great Leader

Twisting Twirling Tatiana

Tatiana tried the taunt trampoline,
The Tribune tattler Thadeus touted,
triumphed as the town's tip-top teen,
takes the title, "Tatiana" they shouted.

Premium Member Your Warm Embrace

As I recall your warm embrace
it was the best place to be in this life.
your loving touch,no one could replace
I was so blessed to be your dear wife
our love triumphed through much strife.

Progress In His Name

I
On waking, I'm thankful for dangers we triumphed over -- daily traps and miracle escapes

II
I thank my LORD, for a few insults and surprise compliments from known quarters

III
Small successes are important; meditation on these keeps all fatigue at bay (hallelujah, PTL)

Wow - Excellent XL

Revolutionary insight excelled
for forty days and forty nights.
Noah discovered what rain was;
Moses received God’s ten laws twice.
Josh and Caleb searched out the land;
Jesus triumphed o'er Satan's tests.
Goliath’s grand boasting accrued;
Elijah travelled in anguish.

Into the Lair

Would not wear
the seasoned face.
Eye for eye
blasting the truth.

The path becomes the tunnel.
Unending,
in pain of speech
at the expense of ethics.

Under the fingernails
they start interbreeding
the ideas, crimnalizing the
upright past.

A vultured darkness descends
on the raped bed.
The great seduction of moon
had triumphed.

Star Wars

STAR WARS

Secrets of love within your heart
Truly shown in your eyes every time you smile
And the moment you give me a kiss
Rolling thunder to my heart exists!

Win or defeated, conquered or triumphed
Always faithful, allegiance is sure
Rely on me, whenever you fell and wounded
So many nights I pray that you come back
to continue the love we left behind...

Premium Member MODERN DAY POLITICAL MONOMANIA: A TANKA TRIO

We must not be doomed;
Our life’s nature must not be
A musky Eden:-
We must replow the nation,
And rose-garden democracy:-

Every day, we must
Overcome triumphed-up evil
And its musky sce t:-
Let’s not be tesla-door dashed
Into political hell:-

Remember, each day
Has a wishful tomorrow;
Oppression must not:-
Let’s make our tomorrow sweet;
Void of funky politics:-

Premium Member He Is Risen

Dear Lord, you triumphed o'er the grave
Where you were laid, our souls to save.
We gathered in our church to pray
To thank you for this Easter Day.
Christ is risen, Christ is risen,
To take us from our sinful prison.
As wine we drank and bread we ate,
We served you up with every plate
And now to our black sins confessing,
We ask you Jesus, for your blessing.
Amen

Burglar-exploits of Al-Qaeda and Osama Bin-Laden
Saintly-looking, yet, by Satanic powers crime-ridden
Terror-tied, adventured into frightening the nations
From Los Angels ignited their hellion-operations
triumphed razing the tip of the World Trade Center
Could they, yet, into the united household, forever enter...?

Premium Member Grinning Truth

We went around in circles,
yet the truth lingered right between us,
smirking as if it had already triumphed.
You labeled it complicated.
I called it chaos.

There’s nothing beautiful about pretending—
about trying to bridge a gap so vast
that you can taste the deception in your mouth.
But we went ahead anyway.
Sat there.
Grinning, as if we didn’t already realize
this was the beginning of the end.

Premium Member Triumphed Through the Rubble

I watched your young life from afar,
folk in town said you wouldn’t go far.

You became with child, the dad left
from then on it was baby and self

Your life was a constant struggle
you triumphed through the rubble

Went back to school and got a degree
Your first major was psychology

You are now married with great career
you are my hero, and bff of the year

To Women

No mortal has triumphed to conquer your appeal,
From Enkidu's Shamhat to Cain's Aclima it starts
Longing for possessing you was part of the ordeal,
For lust grew unfathomed with the first love darts
Craving carved its roots in men with a hefty zeal,
Until it blurred our nous with the serum of hearts
Till now the journey keeps marching without retreat
If all is summoned, faith to you until the endmost beat!

Premium Member Celebrity Status

We know celebrities
bullied as kids
teased they were different
yet they triumphed
refused to buckle
their flame not extinguished

Every single kid has potential
though many crushed
maimed beyond recognition
their life force sucked dry

Imagine the kind of world
we would live in
if all kids were encouraged
and their potential nurtured
we’d all be celebrities

Festival of Lights

On Sunday the Festival of Light begins
Everyone does not know what that stands for
So I'll explain
It celebrates a revolt against oppression
by the Israelites
against cruel rulers
who refused to let them
practice their faith
The people of Israel triumphed
Led by Judah Maccabbee
and his family
a remarkable victory!
One day "swords will be beaten into ploughshares"
That seems a distant hope
But if we "keep the faith"
IT WILL HAPPEN
Form: Verse

Baseball Trip

The Mets triumphed!
I have been a fan for many years
How many of you out there in the darkness
care about what happened in Citifield
I even have a T-Shirt which shows the Brooklyn Dodgers on it
They were a ground - breaking team
Allowing the first black player
to show off his skills
They also had the great Sandy Koufax
Who some considered to be "King of the Jews"
 To his credit
he took off on the high holidays
and inspired poetry when he did!
Form: Verse

Vindicated

Winter in New York
the few stars we can see
   in its urban sky
are about to appear
You've triumphed!
    Seems that your
old
beliefs
     were really the
ones you should have
     known would remain
true
    Birds winging overhead
don't have to worry
   about being right or wrong
They just fly south when the
   cold winds blow
But you are vindicated
and can smile discreetly
at the image in the mirror
laugh softly
at the absurdity of it all

Trump

Donald from Queens
Trumpeting with a trumpety, trump
Off he went by any means
He trumped, with a pump, and a jump

O' He triumphed
He dazed the lot
Trumped and thumped
With words of thought

Crazed, ablazed, and unflaunted
Hailed by his ways
Thumping his way forward, un·daunt·ed
Through the hoops, of word and phrase

President Donald Trump, it's true
The Bard of the Deal
America, Red, White and Blue
Four more years coming of Trump zeal
