I fear heights and yet,
never would I fret
crossing a wobbly
bridge o'er a ravine.
If it leads to you,
that's what I would do.

Oh! ‘wisdom' of Muse!!
In search of gold,
An alchemist dies old,
Wandering aimlessly in a ravine,
A fool finds a goldmine.
This ‘wisdom’ of Muse,
Does me amuse!...

Dead End
Dead End I followed the road map I found inside of my broken heart and drove to the edge of yesterday Got out of my car and looked over the side There at the bottom of this very deep ravine I could see today, so I jumped… there will be no tomorrow

Two Mountains
The clamber beat me up.?
I have to heel slide?
down a scree covered ravine -?
ignore the sweat of panic.?
?
There’s a large smooth boulder,?
I hug it?
slow my roll, ?
cling to a deeper breath.?
?
There are two mountains here,?
one under my feet,?
the other?
I brought with me....

Dark Wolf Down
Dark wolf down
in Lost Ravine
shot and killed
somewhere
between,

yesterday
and three o'clock
sleek form lying
on black rock

White wolf
howls
across blue skies
grey clouds
gather in her eyes

lightning strikes

as she descends

to spill the bright red

blood of men....

Healing
How can stars be there?
I am blind in slush,flinched
From the vagrant wind
Wafting the fog's kiss
To wiz tree down the ravine
Tucked in by the fells
Where kinda moon drops
Souse eerie pebbledashed face
Of me to recoup.

Bread Crumbs For Starving Birds
Stretched across the ravine,
the walking bridge
is covered with snow.
Steam lifts from the narrow river bed below.
The hand guided ropes are glazed over with ice.
Raccoon tracks are pepper sprinkled in front of me
like virgin markers leaving a fresh, first trail.
Once across, and safe,
I toss yellow bread crumbs across white snow
for starving birds....

The Dump
I visited the dump today
For reasons unexplainable
I remember doing so
as a child
And seeing in amazement
The treasures that once
meant so much
Now tossed aside as litter
One had to travel up a road
Then down a steep ravine
Hidden far from
the constant reminder
Of what we have become
And the secrets that even our best friends
Have never ever seen...

Dog Tired
I pull a sledge in arctic snow,
The leader of the team,
And rescue stranded people from
The mountain or ravine.

I help to capture criminals,
Or race upon a track,
I sniff out hidden drugs and bombs,
Go hunting with my pack.

I guide a person ‘cross the road,
And herd a flock of sheep -
I work so hard around the clock
(But only in my sleep…)

Premium Member The Dream
Draped within the mountain top mist
I pause at the edge of the ravine
muffled in thoughts of deep denial
rage within, whilst jostling with the lure of life
when slipping again and again as i dwell
upon the love that once was mine.
I peer into the Abyss
lose my balance as I wake
my head buried deep within the pillow
yet knowing once again death I had foiled.

Vagabond Valley
you should step back into the forest of the mind
and look at the bark that ascends up the trees
there may be answers to questions you forgot to ask
whose words are still a rumor swirling in the breeze

or could there be more than this that sits alone
in the confines of one’s subconscious ravine?
like future paths that await your curious print
and vagabond dreams that remain to be seen...

Ravenous Visions
Escaping the darkness
With the wings of an Angel

Salvation is only a step away
However fleeting the moment is

It haunts me in my dreams
The screaming will never cease

She moves in my thoughts
Like water through a ravine

Clean, pure, fluid
She can’t be stopped

The drums beat to war
An army is needed to defend the gates

A bleeding heart epic
Just another way

It’s time to deliver
Now I live for today...

My dear, hear me and not my perceived guilt
For my distancing quiet you demean
It is not a wall but a guard I built
To keep my darker heart in quarantine
A bitter thorn in a twisted ravine
If some midnights produce a muzzled roar
Escaping the planks of my placid floor
Allow me this one secret to withhold
It is for our love I don't show you more
These stones too crushing to leave uncontrolled

I would like to again
We climbed into the church, which hangs behind the village on the edge of a ravine/quarry and a meadow with frozen alfalfa.
It opens its mouth at us with every incoming twilight.
Door like when the Helper swaps part of the cheeks and stretches the cheeks to the eyes, grin from Codex Gigas.
We admire the naked little girls and the drooping pygmies of the statues hidden in the drawer of the table left in the sacristy....
