A powder puff moon
hangs in a languid sky
gathers stardust from the milky way
and airbrushes the faces of passing angels
While Sun puts food in flowers,
Poems flit across my mind;
And I must softly cast my net
To keep the powder on their wings.
Tea leaf powder brewed
Token stream of tea devolves
Cyclye of life flows
Reincarnated grains bind
Nouveau palates sift huskings
Precious
Baby at Mom's breast
Soft fragrance of sweet powder
The tender touch of love

Someone's chimney, ash and soot.
Crunch, crunch powder underfoot.
These things that I do understand.
Comprise a winter wonderland.

To capture beauty,
is to go to sleep with black,
red, and gold powder
from butterfly wings aloft
on your mind... not on your hands~
smiling --
she stirs cold coffee
and waits
a vision of bottles, baths and baby powder in her life
again --
the movement
within
Copper leaves rustle
White powder covers the land
Early light brings gold
In the frigid cloud I watch
My last breath appear and swirl
A thief in search of clam chowder
Instead encountered a clowder
A pussy is nice
When its chasing mice
So the thief just took a powder
matchas vibrant green bold star
whisked perfection near and far
powder delight
energize flight
sipping raising my tea bar.
Snow
pure white,
whispering~
Fragile beauty
as I walk the path.
All is silent . . .
Powder snow,
quiet,
drifts.
Pile up snow, yes, pile up deep,
pile up snow on hills real steep,
pile up snow, I want three feet,
pile up snow, fresh powder is sweet.

I once had a friend named Pete
Who never liked to wash his feet
Every time he removed his shoes
Your nose was bound to lose
Was foot powder obsolete?

LANTERN POEM
Baby powder soft,
warm security comfort -
worthiness restored.
Rocking, patting my back cures -
Maternal gifts give lifelong.
~ a tear stains blue steel
washing sweat, blood, powder, skin ...
demons come smiling ~
Western breezes blowing in,
bringing snow to the peaks again,
now it’s cold enough to stay,
tomorrow is a powder day.
And I don’t work on powder days…
