Quaker Oats
If pure grain oats grown
In the mountains of Utah
Is it Quaker Oats

Lavender mountains
Backdrop to a gorgeous pond
Lacy silvery clouds
Sigh of appreciation
The joyous heart feels home
when
you look
through
the
rose windows of
my soul
you
shall see
a sea of
blue shadow mountains
in
my cathedral
Shuffling down the mountainside
or scaling highest heights?
A look-to-the-future attitude
helps one get it right
Dream the impossible.
Make your goal the possible.
Believe in yourself.
Believe you can do it,
And its almost done.
Crystal Lake
"Haiku"
By Angerry Feliciano
Crystal Lake mirrors
Mountainous snowcapped beside
Underneath blue sky
Many proud mountains
Worn to insignificance--
Just gone with the wind
the mountain calls his name
lost in its echo
he pretends to sleep

Howling Wilderness
windswept
bleak treeless plain
white blanketed mountains
permafrost hardened ground, I am
alone
Faith
By: Tom
2/1/2013
Jesus said if faith
Were a mustard seed in size
Mountains would be moved
distant echoes rise-up
over mountanis
resounding poetic phrases-
its soul's brilliance so profound
triggering insanitiy.
mountains
so
full of glow
that
wears
the
cloth of heaven
thus
made of white snow
that
every mountain knows
Listening to the winter rain
Sit we sombre wolves urbane
To the mountains, long to go
Where we listen to the snow
sun sets behind Pikes Peak
now bathed
with mellow moon
Entry for Timothy Hicks' "Thirteen Syllables Or Less" Contest
Distant thunder roars.
Another thirty minutes,
All scout boats grounded.
the azure sky is bathed in rose splendor. . .
as sun dips behind mountains -
I plunge into blue sea.

a young pristine plant
at the bottom of a hill ~
fresh life's beginning

verdant the hilltops
gold as light
flushed without a moon

Pretty Little Lunes Contest
#5--- Kelly Lune
~ O2 depleted
each icy step is labored ...
summit's frozen maw ~
Fresh mown field of hay
Robust scent fills the morning
Dewy mist hovers
Creating murky gray dawn
Brisk, sweet air enlivening
Through the Partnach Gorge,
Super-aerated rapids
Drop past awed climbers.
mountains so high
looks mysterious in the night
lies a deepest secret

2nd Place Winner
For Charles Contest
High in the mountains
A log cabin in the trees
Aspens in color
Sit next to maples scarlet blaze
Hear the rippling river sing
frost on the mountains
glistens in morning sunlight ~~
precious diamonds
