hand in hand we drink

just me and my date

the hearth flickers 'neath a pot
water swirls and tumbles round
dried leaves bloom within the clay
misty cup of calm
join the green tea home parade
leafy dancing promenade
take a sip

natures curing ready made.

butterscotch
cold cream
melts in mouth
good to the last drop
even the ice

Within this ocean of sand
Oasis’ exist
oh juniper tree
high five to thy lively gin
that drives us to jibe
a jitterbug jig and jive
that we all get berried in
What if I drink a cup of sunshine
Would that illuminate my mind
Would I be full of mystery
Enlightened free from misery
Do you inhale or exhale,
Before you take a drink?
