money isn't the way to joy...

They called him ‘Poor Boy’
a victim of life’s promise...
a voice without love
neither percipient of
nor an indulgence in it.

Poor Boy Winter
Cracks in the floor,
filled with old cardboard.

Plastic on the windows,
blankets on the doors.

Newspaper on the plumbing,
wood stacked by the stove.

Preparing for the winter,
when I was just a boy....

Purple boots, he said

clanging in his head

Purple boots, he'd bled

the odd phrase

His Riches Claimed
A fool
A rich father
A poor boy
A dream
The theater
Of experience
One whines
The other screams
The reckoning
Once predicted
Is here
The world in flames
The fool
Just canon fodder
The boy,
—his riches claimed

Poor Boy
There was a girl that was seriously in love with a poor boy, That poor boy could not be involved with her because he did not have any money to showe her that he loved her.
The poor boy made a lot of mayhem of his self, So he could love her and care for her, Then the girl ran away so she can be with the poor boy and be happy....

A Sweet Young Girl
There was a Mantis, a sweet young girl,
Who wanted to give mating a whirl!
She found a poor boy
With whom she could toy,
Who didn’t know his life would unfurl!

Footnote:
Some female Praying Mantises are notorious for eating their mates after or even
during the reproductive act. Strangely, this doesn’t deter the males, typical!...

Poor Boy Playground
Pain was half the fun
on a dirt-pile pyramid
topped with a slab of lumber
Bleeding, splintered hands
Black and blue behinds, scraped knees
Wounds gladly traded for joy

A discarded box
beckons three dare-devil brats
to crawl in and roll downhill
through the briar patch
Tucked safe in their cardboard womb
giggling at outraged thorns...

Premium Member What a Woman Can Do To Me
So when I saw you standing there
Out in the sun I knew you were rare
A think of beauty in this dirty town
Nice shoes and a black dress like a gown
A picture of tattooed perfection
With a smile for a reaction
When I said hello
What could be better
For this poor boy
But a talk with a beautiful woman
To raise his spirits
And make me feel better...

Miscarriage
Poor boy hungry,
Revolution in stomach
Machinegun boy carry
Oh! Boy attack
Kill: rich, poor
Frustrated brain man
Mental rate more
Eat trash can
Sleep Bridge under
Terror people more.
What is further?
Bleak dreams more
City big city
Where hope gone?
Brain wasted done
Devil take duty
Mortal man killed
Played stage part
Dirge song filled
Rainbow sky cry’s...

Oh! baby let’s play house
no one sided love affair here,
you’re so young and beautiful
and that’s all right, when the
next step is love.
I Hope darling you’ll always
wear my ring, I’m sure you know
I’m playing for keeps,
although i am just a
poor boy, from
Memphis Tennessee,
no heartbreak hotel for us,
just a promise of love me tender
whilst I’m loving you.

Left for Dead
A reflection of happiness, once said
Never shown, now dead
Not enough, the hunger never fed

I’m a poor boy, rich in thought
Top down, bottoms up, I’ve been dropped
Buried after a red hell
After all the bloody drops, I turned pale
This earth in a hurry I left
All my close ones upset
Over my young termination they wept

Yall don’t understand the reason why
I wouldn’t expect U to; it’s just me who died...

Sniffing Glue
A teenage boy died after he sniffed glue.
It was a really stupid thing for him to do.
His parents rushed him to the hospital but it was too late.
That poor boy was doomed, it was truly a horrible fate.

His parents said goodbye to him and then he died.
Sniffing glue is idiotic, that can't be denied.
He sniffed it because he wanted to get high.
Don't ever sniff glue or you may also die.

(This is a true story.)...

3 Limericks
Oh my dearest darling Kate
Faced the most awful fate
Ate a peanut
Clogged her big butt
Now larger than Texas State.

I would assume you've heard of Sue
The poor boy doomed to boo hoo
His dad was funny
Till he had no money
crawled back to his son for some stew

Henry was a giant catipillier
He worked at Walmart as a vacuum filler
Always on time
Sucked up by nine
Until he met a snail and tried to steal her...

He sported a new hickey
I thought it rather icky
Right there on his neck
It made me a wreck
To kill that girl is tricky

Perhaps that is too dire
Will fight fire with fire
I’ll plaster her lips
And wiggle my hips*
Known to ignite desire

Revenge, they say can be sweet
Mine, a delectable treat
Full body hickey
Wasn’t too tricky
Now, MY poor boy she won’t greet!

A Thousand Miles An Hour
A thousand miles an hour
This fete a break through
I scan the speedometer, inset odometer
Stuck in the traffic Jam a thousand, without a move
I wonder!

Fellow citizen passes on wheel chair
A thousand far cry shy
Overtaking treacherously
Counting his steps is staccato
He stops and wonders, boss
Sorry, he muses, poor boy, he mutters
The Jam’s got to take another thousand
And I stare at the speedometer
A thousand miles an hour
The break through....

It Was Not a Stone
An adventurous boy saw a stone
deep in the lake, smooth and shining
“I must feel that stone today”, he said

He swam with lunatic enthusiasm
and straight he climbed on the thing
his dream was immediately broken

the smooth sea stone was not a stone
It rose up and flashed its ugly teeth
a hippo, big, hungry and tired it was

He called creator, ancestors and all
the poor boy ran, flew, swam, plied
but the hippo closed in as if biting...

Premium Member Big Foot and I
Once was upon a time
I went to the Rome zoo
Assisting to the crime:
Big Foot under a boo.

All people there around
Was throwing nuts to him
He looked sad at the ground
His eyes were joyless dim.

I went to other side
I told him: “Nice, poor boy!”
Offering my hand wide
And calling with decoy.

He then raised up his head
And came sudden to me
His hand open well spread
Offered, touching to see.

Bob, a poor boy that has nothing; will not bow down to any king
Dad, his Lady, and old Nana too; do not know what Bob can do
With a strong faith, Bob walks blindly; a path of Divinity finally
Bringing a poor boy to a giant hill, on top a big bright void to fill
God and only Son, Christ, cry; as BOB is watching and slowly walking by
Looking back, thinking "Shall I ?"
