Claustrophobic
I can feel the walls getting thicker.
It all closes in, but it’s fine this happens all the time.
A spliff or two keeps away the shivers.
No time for loathing, these walls are by my design...

In Anguish
In anguish he screams
What you want from me
Then hold his head in his hands
With his whole body shaking and heaving

Claustrophobic and feeling undone
When will there be rest
From the sorrow of self pity
So he can lie in peaceful solitude.

Dress Up
Claustrophobic Closets
...full of personalities and promise

what to squeeze into…
what to hide under?
fitting and proper it should be
for this moment, yes?

Metamorphosis into
that which is necessary to

...accessorize the lie

It’s all just dress-up anyway.

Now you should try....

Saffron Skylines

Silk-
starfish
of fervent
fate weaves soft-quartz
feathers of marshmallow metaphors that
croon with firefly's fluorescence amidst life's
claustrophobic
clouds, shading
bitter
smogs
with
plush sweet-
dahlias;
And I chase light
within saffron skylines beyond dreamscapes....

Lifeline
My lifeline was severed,
I scream but no one hears.
No communication, no oxygen.
My god, I’m going to die out here,
doomed to float around
in black nothingness,
prisoner of my fears,
agoraphobic and claustrophobic,
until my brain shuts down.
And my killer watches.
My lifeline was severed,
I scream but no one hea......

I wish you weren't apart of me Traces of you flowing through my arteries Deprived of essentials like a commodity Wish you were someone who fought hard for me Take it all, at least what's left You've burnt this candle from both ends See the light through the plight Counteract the claustrophobic tesseract

Claustrophobic Walls
Claustrophobic walls

These claustrophobic walls
That grasp and hold me tight
Destroy my very soul
And end my will to fight
Enclosed I am in loneliness
My mind a silent yell
Age became my jailor
And my home a prison cell
I hope each day for visitors
I pray that someone calls
But all I see in my final days
Are these claustrophobic walls...

Lone snowflakes drift in As anorexic, claustrophobic bats shiver Wrapped in their bat wing sleeping bags. A field mouse plays “Three Little Pigs” With a patch of straw. An eerie wind whistles wickedly Alarming an itinerant mole. I snore, noisily unaware, That my brother sub-let His half of the den. John G. Lawless ©1/21/2023

Languishing inside a cell(his demons) so fierce
        and punishing; isolating loneliness pierce
the core of his misery. Every so often,
he feels claustrophobic, as if inside a coffin.

Perfect Love - Contest
perfection in all things
easy, you would think, but not when
re-daunting love is demanded,
forever constant drip of words
eating away my soul, feeling
claustrophobic, being smothered, by
total love which is demanded back

loyalty closes its eyes as
overbearing mother decides my future
vitriol thoughts circle my brain
erased my natural love for my mother

once smouldered from magma’s deep red vein

“Don’t-stand-so-close-to-me,” he said to her. I’m feeling claustrophobic. Every time I turn around, you’re right there at my shoulder. Were you a poem, I’d make you its end rhyme! “How rude you are!” his girlfriend then replied. “The way you talk to me is a disgrace. We’re finished!” As she strode away she cried, “And this is me now giving you your space.” For Black Eyed Susan's Space Contest

Alone
A million people just like me
All close, claustrophobic, strangers
I may not seem or look alone but I am
I am alone
Alone, alone, alone
Those words roaring in my head like a wild fire
I feel alone
All teenage girls like me
My mum in the woman's section
I miss her
My dad in the men's section
I miss him
And my brothers in the boy's section
I miss them
I am alone
I feel alone
I don't want to be alone
Alone, alone, alone......

Trapped
Feeling claustrophobic in this cell
The walls are coming down on me
Retreating back into my shell
I’m not who I used to be
I’m suffocating
Is it hard to tell?
These venom infused words are killing me
Chocking me out till I can’t breathe
Trying to change the very essence of me
Freedom is just a door away
But my cell doesn’t have any doors
Only a window sealed with bars
Feeling trapped and alone
The darkness is enveloping me
Is this the end of me?...

Wave Good-Bye
I wake to the screams for the walls to
		STOP IT!
From closing around the claustrophobic.
Sound waves riding through my head,
Picking up the thoughts my brain has shed.
Spiraling down the vortex of infinite chaos,
Begging the question,
		Is life among us?
Can we stop the voices that make our hearts race
Before it all just explodes in our face?
We cry out and raise our arms to the sky
As we all wave good-bye.

(i know the last two lines just arent right, ill appreciate any comments.)...

I Can'T Breathe
I can't breathe
My ankles are shackled
I can't feel my feet,
My neck is manacled
The weight of your knee upon my neck,
Crushing my jugular, bursting veins
Tears of blood running down my cheeks,
As I pleaded for mercy, tapping out
But it wasn't enough to quench your thirst
The world is silent, racism pushing through
Its walls, we have become claustrophobic
Tearing through the roofs, windows and doors
To undo this Injustice served by the uniform
