Autumn's Reprise

Sipping love's velvet
In orange yellow cracks..
Swept and red tale's tilting
Through times, bronzed quills
Poetry seasons fables lore; vieta.

Autumn Flutter

autumn bronzed

bubbling trees

sway, sweep, and tilt,

twist, turn, then bow;

spawning boughs tossing

hurricaned dust.

Summer-Tan

A sea of warm smiles
           etched on bronzed faces tilted
                                                  towards the hot sun

Bronzed Curves

Bronzed curves of delight
capture the suns golden rays
breathing as she sighs
warm breezes entice her gems
alluring thoughts compass me

Magnolia Days

delight of jade spring
pink perfumed mass profusion
sunbathing bronzed blooms

cardinal sings loud
from his perch next to blue sky
reverberations

floral flamboyance
drawing the world's attention
the fresh, lovely days

Midas Touch

His neighbor had the Midas touch
he wanted more than life itself.
Her body: buried in his yard;
her finger: bronzed and on his shelf.

see the petals form
follow on early spring
storm on daffodils
you have your festivals
to arrange

See the tulips gallop sun dance
Celebrate the green portals in the garden
prestige your sun bronzed shoulders
hoe down to the soil

Silhouettes In the Moonlight

Autumn’s now here, waves lap the shore.

Your strong, warm, bronzed hand holds mine .

Our daughter, grown, loves us forever more.

Our grandson, now a teen, for him, I do pine.

May we live for many years, with kisses galore

September Summer

Memories of children's chatter
Lightly rock lonely playground swings
Yellowing grass, thirsty and thin
Bronzed hours sealed up in ship bottles
Daylight's ample breath slows, shallow
School bus dawn's mounted regiment.
Summer fat squirrels bury nuts

Gloom Veiled My Heart

I wept until the bronzed edge of twilight
chased prismed light from pastel skies.
A shroud of gloom veiled my heart
as the gatekeeper touched my arm.

Blue Heart-

Oh! my blue heart so does it cry; Golden tears that flow down my cheek my chin; My face is bruised bronzed red with the swelling of pain; In my heart substance in rains; So my blue heart saddened yet still cries;

Lazy Afternoon

Translucent fishes in shallow water Graze our nails curiously. I nibble your bronzed neck... Crystalline summer fantasies. Polished pebbles ripple, Curious shoreline gestures Around our lazy afternoon dream. *** May 23, 2017 Copyright © Darren White

Whats the use

chant of a new beginning
first picture of summer
bronzed legs
see the flowers scream their joy
Pretty in pink
she loves to be one of the chosen
loving the stage
she murmur her fledgling ideals
Love is a wonderful colour
by the burning barricades
through the early thrush rain

Beautiful Dreamers

Red is in the flower beds of roses, petunias and carnations,
Blooms dream in magical moonlight, now that stars are out,
And permeate a deep, black night, with burgundy fragrance!
Amidst the rich pearl dewdrops, breezes are scattered about,
As fond reveries of bronzed sunshine, under pale stars flout!

Armed With Bravery

armed with bravery
the brawny battler excites
my heart beats ever faster
and my eyes open
wider with expectation
his sword glistens in the sun
like his bronzed muscles
good shall overcome
in the arena today

Rags and Riches

Deep blue, almost black,
sadness.
Being,
my ache of existence.

Eyes, no body in focus.
A grey cloud
rowing the moon
amidst red stars.

Bronzed tongue
digs the spirit
out of flesh
behind the shadows.

Alone me
in unlived house of rags,
looking beyond the walls
other side of tomorrow.

The Afterglow, of Her Love

Drawn their curtains still the dawn; light, trickling past as through ...
Angelic her beauty in silhouette, she sleeps; ruby silk and emerald skies
Bronzed these dreams, his lullaby ? Gossamer love cascading heights fragrant
                                                                              ... Embers, inside her eyes.

Amber Quill

From amber quill of daylight’s wane,
warmed honey clouds sketch mirrored swells.
  Bronzed seagulls dipped in twilight’s train;
from amber quill of daylight’s wane.
In fluttered mass, a golden vein,
lifts from the waves in sunset’s spell.
From amber quill of daylight’s wane,
warmed honey clouds sketch mirrored swells.

The Fisherman

He casts his net in cool, deep water,
Intent on things below.
Silently I watch him work,
But he will never know.

The sun gleams off his sun bronzed back.
His muscles glisten, shine;
As sweat and water mingle,
Emphasize each line.

He comes out here most every day,
Fishing from a skiff.
Bare but for some faded shorts,
He gives my heart a lift.

Sustenance

A view of the ordinary, becomes the exception

Each glass puddles grief, made of iced, liquefied

Two have succumbed to the dark brimming tides

Three without umber, are bronzed into gold

Reviewed in formation, saluting in rows,

toast stands at attention, to satisfy souls
